This was a special one. I never meant to really grow on insta but I tried really hard to create content to reach people irl to bike with. This dream keeps coming true thanks to you! Thank you for showing up and making it one of my top ten rides ever! The weather and timing and company couldn’t have been more perfect! And for those who couldn’t make it I hope we can make this happen again soon.

To all those that smiled with me, picked me up when I (literally) fell, lent a listening ear, gave amazing conversation and even better hugs, laughed, danced and shared your stories - you made gravel camp magical. It wasn’t the roads, trails, or overabundance of mountain biking 😜. It was, and always is, the women …. Thank you. 🙏

Congratulations to the winners of our 11th annual Alfred Lambourne Prize!

The Alfred Lambourne Arts Program continues to celebrate the beauty and urgency of Great Salt Lake through diverse artistic expressions. This year's works, inspired by and in conversation with Alfred Lambourne's profound observations over a century ago, explore the power of imagination in connecting with our treasured Inland Sea.

From Laurie Bray's evocative photography capturing the search for water, to Johanna Greenberg's poetic visions of swimming bison, the visual and literary arts paint vivid pictures of our changing landscape. Brolly Arts' movement piece "Illusion of Abundance" connects us to Indigenous wisdom, while My Friend Zero's "Lake Lullaby" reimagines a 21st century relationship with the Lake.

These imaginative works honor Great Salt Lake's composite nature while inspiring innovative solutions for its preservation. As we face environmental challenges, art becomes a powerful tool for envisioning the Lake's future and shaping protections.

Experience these transformative works at @sorensoncommunitycampus through November, or through our digital catalog (link in bio).

5: Laurie Bray, “In Search of Water”

Another fantastic darkroom printing workshop! Thank you @workgardenknitrepeat for coming over and getting a refresher on black and white printing.

Ultimately we made prints from four negatives at today's workshop. Starting with medium format we made straight prints from two Holga 6x6 negatives with pleasant contrasty results. Then we added in a contrast filter and re-made one of the prints to dial things in and remove some overall contrast. Switching to 35mm we jumped into split filter printing and made some really nice prints from two more negatives. Overall a very successful workshop.

If you want to learn the magic of darkroom printing send me a message! Booking workshops for Sept & Oct currently.

Yay for the #superduperseedswap2017 that package arrived in the mail today in our coldest day this far this fall. So excited for the spring and extra excited to have cilantro to grow on the windowsill this winter! Thank you for your work in pulling this together @urbanmannfarm #raisingfoodthewaygodintended #fairacreshomestead
