A beautiful intimate gathering of people we learned so much from.

The Importance of Early Detection and Love

The most profound lesson I took away from the event I felt in five words:: ADVOCATE AWARENESS RESEARCH KNOWLEDGE & LOVE :: What we know is that while breast cancer is physically and mentally grueling for those going through it, it’s often just as hard on their loved ones. Those who love and care for them often feel helpless, struggling to advocate for the best possible care while battling their own heartbreak.

So, what can we do? The most significant action we can take is to advocate for early and frequent checks, especially if breast cancer is part of the family history. Connection, support, and love are what carry families through. Because without love, what do we truly have in this world?

Let’s keep pushing for awareness, research, and prevention—so that future generations won’t have to experience too.

A big thank you to WorkLife Berry for being a valued supporter and festival partner of the Berry Writers Festival. WorkLife has been a sanctuary for many of our local authors, offering them a quiet space to escape from home distractions and focus on their craft in a modern, comfortable co-working environment.

Festival authors like Holly Wainwright and Tori Haschka have found inspiration at WorkLife and met those word count goals! Best of all, you can see these wonderful authors (and so many more!) at sessions throughout the festival weekend - thank you @worklife.org.au for playing a role in literary success!
