What I Actually Wore This Week 🤎

A slightly more social week than usual, with a few lunches and evenings out thrown into the mix, so a few more opportunities to get dressed up and more changes than usual 🤗

A little roundup of the outfits I actually wore, from everyday favourites to slightly dressier combinations. You’ll probably notice some pieces making regular appearances. I’m definitely someone who loves wearing things on repeat, just styled a little differently each time. It’s also kinda obvious that dresses and skirts are a rarity for me!

Thinking this might become a regular end of week round up!

How we roll.

Two speaking engagements this week, reaching over 200 people, and genuinely one of my favourite things to do, and a much needed growing area of my business.

Huge thank you to @superettestore and @rubytakessnaps for the pieces to showcase styling interactively.

Sharing the secrets. Having the laughs. Keeping it real for you all.

My hope is always the same, that people leave understanding their own style and their own perspective, instead of dressing for someone else’s.

Life lately in Tāmaki Makaurau as a 20-something 𓇢𓆸

June has been a busy month at Beatson HQ x from Whirinaki to Akaroa and a little of what I’ve been wearing lately. I posted this photo in The Style Club a few months back to showcase The Italian Tuck. Tucking my jeans into my boots not only gives a very nonchalant look but it shows a little ankle making it easier for some to wear a straight leg Jean x

With my sister Milly and beautiful niece Felicity x visiting the Hokianga for our great Aunty Eva’s Tangi was so sad without Mum. She was our wise woman, our translator and our guide whenever we went to the Marae. I did my best to remember the protocols she had taught us. It was lovely to see our whanau and to remember Mums beloved Aunty. Milly didn’t let us down when it came to the Waiata and I was glad for the extra backup singer in Felicity x

I think it’s really good to own your stuff! As soon as Milly confirmed we were going north, I said to her I’m not staying on the Marae. When we got to the marae a couple of our cousins asked if we were going to stay the night and we said no. They jokingly said “like that ah?” And i quickly said “yes and it’s me!” Own your stuff ladies - I was much happier in my nice hotel in Opononi and I think Milly and Felicity were pretty happy too. We still got to spend some lovely time with everyone x
