You thought I was done, think again. I’ll be developing my skill set on the Practice squad for the @commanders until my number is called. #fakenews

In all seriousness, shout out to @enterthelloyd he was one of my first examples outside of @stereofaith who I witnessed playing music from the heart. It was less about what got them booked and more about playing something they knew you’d leave the club and spend the next few days digging for. Pretty sure he’s turning 50 this year, so come by @goodroombk Friday night 10-2am and celebrate the man, myth, some may even say legend.

The Friday Five 🖐️

Here we go with this week’s picks from the racks….
Some vintage Rhythm Plate, an all time favourite from Sandy Rivera, Mark Seven and Charles Webster doing what they do best and closing on a Roy Davis Jr classic.

Enjoy the sounds!

Music!! Friends!! A 10 year celebration!! On Saturday June 20th- we have DC’s very own @beautiful.swimmers to celebrate 10 years of Homage. It’s been 3 years since their last appearance here in Los Angeles and we couldn’t be more excited to have one of our favorite duos back at our place to get your feet and body moving! Come out, bring your friends, and let’s celebrate US. Without you, we wouldn’t be where we’re at today.

We’ll be serving up special cocktails for the night, dropping new merch, beefing up our sound system, and who knows what else we’ll be doing but the point is it’s gonna be a celebration and it’s no party without you there!

$10 entry to support the cause, the music, the art!

See you there.

did you know the one of the first recognized black set designers, wynn thomas, is from philly. i bet he tangs.

anyway enjoy my work including the best thing i’ve ever made, the upside down table ❤️
