Dean Blunt is a legend in my eyes. Many people already know this, but for anyone who doesn’t, here’s why. He’s been in the game since the late 2000s, starting with Hype Williams alongside Inga Copeland, then solo with The Redeemer and Black Metal, plus his Babyfather project. Over 15 years deep and he’s never played the industry’s game. No rollouts, no promo, barely any interviews. Music just appears out of nowhere, sometimes as a free mixtape, sometimes it gets taken down just as fast. He runs his own label, World Music, and moves entirely on his own terms. And he still works with everybody: A$AP Rocky, Mica Levi, Vegyn, Panda Bear, Joanne Robertson, Elias Rønnenfelt. The people with real taste all end up in his orbit. In a world where labels pay for your attention, this man built a career by doing the exact opposite. That’s what the ug is supposed to be.

Kocham to duo!!!! #babyfather #wraith9 #uk #deanblunt #music
