🐠 Ocean Cuddle Pin: A Little Fish Beneath the Waves 💙

Designed by Zahraa Mohamed Haji for the Jewellery for Baby Boy category, “Ocean Cuddle Pin” takes inspiration from the many different fish found beneath the sea, transforming them into a playful brooch designed for a young boy.

At the centre, the main fish is encrusted with blue diamonds, with delicate sapphire droplets hanging beneath it. The brooch itself takes the form of a diaper safety pin, finished with sapphire diamonds to bring the underwater-inspired design together.

Inspired by the graceful movements of mermaids and schooling fishes, Snehalata Achar’s “Mystical Mermaid Brooch” brings the beauty and mystery of marine life to an intricately detailed jewellery creation. @a.snehlata

The mermaid’s flowing hair, adorned with marquise-shaped blue sapphires, echoes the enchanting movement of schools of fish beneath the sea. Her tail, fashioned from luminous mother of pearl and accented with pear-shaped blue sapphires, reflects the serene beauty of the ocean. Held delicately in her hand, a pear-shaped blue sapphire symbolises the hidden treasures of the deep.

🌊 The Bride Beneath the Waves: A Coral-Inspired Celebration of Beauty 💙

Designed by Haniyeh Mohsenizadeh for the Bridal Necklace Set category, “The Bride Beneath the Waves” draws inspiration from one of the ocean’s most beautiful sights — colourful corals.

The variety and beauty of coral inspired Haniyeh to transform their graceful underwater movements into a jewellery set, with their gentle forms reminiscent of the dance of a bride. The design also reflects the importance of preserving marine life, as many coral species face the threat of disappearing.

Beyond their natural beauty, corals hold different meanings across cultures and have traditionally been associated with protection, tranquillity, wisdom, happiness and immortality. In metaphysical traditions, coral is also associated with preservation, perseverance and strength.

A thoughtful interpretation of Life Underwater, “The Bride Beneath the Waves” brings together the beauty of the ocean, cultural symbolism and the elegance of bridal jewellery.
