I’ll drive a million miles to see my baby enjoy worshipping God and having fun while doing it!

That roadtrip we took a couple weeks ago was twofold, we got to visit HOME (for me, it’s crazy to think I’m the only one in my branch of the family from Memphis) and we got to take Cadence to see @elevationworship at Elevation Nights! Cadence loves their music and we didn’t take her when we went in ATL last year so when our Pastors reached out with an opportunity to see the show in Memphis I knew we had to take Cadence. And it was worth every effort to see her in that environment. I’m trying to remember if this was her first concert as I’m typing and I can’t…anywho she had a time!

Huge shoutout to our Pastors and the team for always making Heart & Soul feel at home! It was a special day that’s etched in the memory books forever.

Safe to say the bags are a winner @hollyfurtick !

When you are “that”, nobody has to tell you. But sometimes it’s nice to get a reminder.

Traveling w/ Kids Strategy is one of those things you don’t think about until you have to think about it. Traveling with a toddler and an an infant takes some serious planning and strategy if you want to survive without casualties! 🤭

We decided to try the night trip method to see if they would sleep most of this road trip. We’ve done the opposite and so did they, so we had nothing to lose.

Now, packing is also a task in itself but we’ll save that conversation for another day. All you need to know is we packed all the necessities in one carry one for two adults and two children, that was a win in itself. There were other bags for accessories and a few accommodations. I’m not a light packer so this was an accomplishment. And traveling with kids, I don’t know about y’all, but I bring the house to prevent complete disruption and chaos.

Driving at night is not optimal, but in this case it worked. So I guess on our next long haul flight we may do the same? Because sometimes nap time just ain’t enough!

What se ye?

10/10 recommend the night trip!

5 years married 🤍

Travel has always been one of our love languages, so every anniversary trip is a chance to pause, reflect on where we’ve been, and celebrate where we’re going.

One of my favorite experiences in Japan was our tea ceremony in Kyoto. They taught us about 一期一会, literally meaning “one meeting,” translating to once in a lifetime. They talked about being present and appreciating each moment because you only get to live that exact moment once.

It stuck with us so much that while there we had anniversary rings made and had it engraved on our rings. For us, one meeting really did change our lives forever. I feel so blessed to have found my person to do life with. Love you babe @unocp_

5 years down, forever to go.

Quality time is one of this family’s love languages.

And you know what they say, the best way to top that perfect vacation is to go on the next one.

You know why I’m here. 👀🍽️
Flights were booked, bags were packed… but let’s be real — the food booked me.

Michelin stars, back-alley tacos, street-side churros, mole so good it made me emotional…
CDMX fed the body and the soul. And yes, I’d do it all again in the same outfit if necessary.
