Painting has always been a therapeutic escape for me, though I don’t paint as often these days. But why not wrap up the year with a splash of colours, right?

About a month ago, I had the chance to attend Ashar’s(@worldofashar) art exhibition, where I discovered the intriguing world of palette knife painting. The technique immediately captivated me. After binge-watching several YouTube tutorials, and of course, after discussions with Ashar, I tried my hand at it, and today, this piece of abstract art came to life.

The artwork is a vibrant mix of colours - shades of violet blending into blues, with pops of yellow, green, and red weaving through. Like all my creations, this one needed a name, and I’ve called it Nebula. Nebulae are interstellar clouds of colourful gas and dust, often cradles for the birth of new stars. The vibrant interplay of hues in this painting reminded me of their celestial beauty, making the name an obvious choice.

While there’s still much to learn and experiment with in this art form, one thing is clear: palette knife painting is incredibly calming and therapeutic. Anyone can dive in, experiment, and enjoy the process.

Before I sign off, let me shine a spotlight on Ashar’s art account, @talesntint .He’s an extraordinarily talented artist with a stunning collection of work. Do check it out - you won’t regret it!

SWITCH PAINTING session with all our amazing and talented artists.
.
What is switch painting u ask?
As name itself says passing the painting to other artists after every 5mins.
We do this up to 4 rounds to complete the painting.
.
Why do we do this ? Or what's the benefit?
As artist we natural have this syndrome of doing art perfectly or not doing at all, fear of spoiling our art, not able to just start and many more such things.

But with this session it's helpful for artists to come over all these trapping thoughts and fearful mindset.
.
If you want to join us for such fun and interesting sessions follow us to keep updated.
.
See u at one of these #workshop soon.
