What Does It Feel Like To Walk On A Dream?

As a designer, I am always looking for new ways to extend my artwork beyond traditional applications and explore how it can become part of a complete interior scheme.
Over the last few months I have been researching the development of luxury woven carpets and rugs using my original artwork. Through that process, I have identified a specialist manufacturer capable of producing these designs, opening up a whole new direction for my work.

This video showcases four designs from the collection: Mina, Golden Haven, GoldenMa and GoldenTwirl.

Each one demonstrates how original artwork can be translated into a luxury woven carpet or rug, creating a unique visual experience while remaining true to the original design.
For me, this is what design development is all about. Researching, exploring, testing ideas and discovering new ways for artwork to live within a space.
A carpet or rug does not have to sit quietly in the background. It can bring warmth, personality, colour and movement into a room. It can become part of the story.

Do you see a carpet as a subtle foundation to a room, or should it be the statement piece?

───────────────
I am fascinated by the effect that colour and scale can have on a design. A simple change can completely transform the look and feel of a space while using exactly the same artwork.
By giving AI direction on the style of space I want to create, I can visualise my designs in different environments and explore possibilities before production.
All artwork, creative direction, design development and final composition are my own.

When you open your front door, what do you want your guests to see?
Personality. Warmth. Joy. Colour. Individuality.

The hallway is often one of the most overlooked spaces in a home, yet it is the first impression visitors receive and the first glimpse of the people who live there.
In this concept, I explore how pattern can transform a hallway from a simple passageway into a memorable arrival experience. From a Victorian setting to a boutique hotel inspired interior, the aim is to create a space that makes a statement and leaves a lasting impression.

What do you think a hallway should say about the people who live there?

What’s better than combining art and antiques? The two together bring quality, fun and style. I’ve been making a range of art on wood and other objects mixing my love for vintage, antiques and hand painted quirky art. Ready for selling. Message me if you’re interested. I’ll be also selling at wirksworth farmers market next Saturday and six streets arts trail on the 27th and 28th. All my work is one off and handmade. Please support me by reposting thanks! I’ll have some bigger pieces soon #art #antiques #design #dogs @wirksworth_markets_derbyshire @rebekah.hyde #sixstreetsartstrail

People are always asking, “This or that?” as if design is a multiple-choice test. But in interiors, it’s rarely either/or. Sometimes the real answer is both — because it all depends on your personality, your lifestyle, and the architectural language of your home.

A bold chandelier or subtle lighting? Gold or silver? Modern or classic? The right choice is the one that aligns with who you are and how your space feels. Design isn’t about rigid rules — it’s about intention, proportion, and harmony.

So when it comes to “this or that,” the real tip is: define your personality first, study your home second, and curate accordingly. The best interiors aren’t chosen — they’re composed. #perlalichi #interiordesign #designtips #luxuryinteriordesigner #toptrends
