The Niue Football Association Fundraiser is just around the corner and is set to go live on September 28th! With that being said, we’d like for everyone to meet our combined fundraising team, made up of members of the Niue Football Association and football shirt collectors!

Jamal Talagi – Jamal is the Vice President & Secretary General of the Niue Football Association! As well as the Co-Leader of the Niue fundraising team!

Tom Misikea – Tom is the Treasurer of the Niue Football Association!

Poasa Veidreyaki – Poasa is an executive member of the Niue Football Association.

Sebastian Exall – Seb is the Co-Leader of the Niue fundraising team, helping to coordinate and generally manage the entire process!

Luke Reaser – Luke is the admin of Niue’s social media accounts and is helping all around with fundraising management and promotion!

Giovanni Privitera – Giovanni is the owner of Insula Sportiva, Niue’s official provider of uniforms and Niue Football Association merchandise!

Andy Bunk – Andy worked with Giovanni to design the Niue Football Association’s jerseys, including the new limited-edition jersey that will be available through the fundraiser!

Dan Oghi – Dan is our jack-of-all-trades! He’s helping out in various areas, including promoting the fundraiser!

Sascha Düerkop – Sascha is working with fellow team member Dan to draft and set up the fundraiser!

You may have seen recently that the Marshall Islands played their first ever international match, an amazing achievement 🇲🇭

You may not know, however, that there is another pacific nation ready to make a splash in the world of the Beautiful Game…

Meet Niue, a small island in the South Pacific Ocean 🇳🇺 Niue have a rich history of football, even playing at the 1983 South Pacific Games, but this was the national team’s last EVER appearance!

But Niue have not given up hope. With YOUR help, they are aiming to send a team to the 2027 Pacific Games. On SEPTEMBER 29TH, we are officially launching a Kickstarter to help the Niue FA buy much-needed new equipment, acquire valuable coaching experience, and (ultimately) send a team to play at the 2027 Pacific Games, the national team’s first game in over 40 YEARS!

The fundraiser will operate on a ‘Reward Tier’ system - the more you donate, the better rewards you get. And yes, these incredible shirts ( designed by the brilliant @worldshirtsnet ) will be available to pre-order as part of the Kickstarter rewards!

Niue 🇳🇺 is a Polynesian island nation in the South Pacific considered a self-governing state in free association with New Zealand. Meaning that New Zealand handles its diplomatic affairs and Defence. They have a population of 1,600 people and have the nickname “Rock of the Polynesia” due to its rocky landscape. This jersey means a lot to me because I can say I was personally involved in the project to help design, produce, and fundraise which will be done in the near future. These are the 2025 Home, Away, and both GK’s that will be used later this year in a North vs South match on Niue and hopefully in the future by a representative team of Niue. The beautiful designs themselves were done by @worldshirtsnet and the manufacturer of the jerseys is @insula_sportiva_officiel These jerseys will be available soon to the public so keep an eye out! Niue Home & Away Jerseys 🇳🇺 🌴

These two incredibly special kits are the result of this amazing community coming together.

When Sascha Düerkop, formerly of @conifaofficial was contacted by the tiny island nation of Niue’s FA, asking for help with the development of football on the island, he turned to the international football shirt-collecting community for support. A kit was needed for a match between representative sides of the islands North vs South (which will be played later in the year), along with a whole host of football equipment, training gear, footballs etc. We pooled together with ideas but ultimately, this once in a lifetime opportunity to design & produce these special shirts fell to @worldshirtsnet & @insula_sportiva_officiel ; what a fantastic job they’ve done.

It was a pleasure to be involved in this process & to see Andy’s creation come to life through Insula Sportiva is quite surreal. However, the most important element to all this, is to raise funds & to support Niue in their footballing quest. Their national team is inactive & have only ever played twice in their history, at the 1983 Pacific Games. The long term goal is to get them playing again but in the short term, lots of work is to be done to get them up & running, to ensure they have adequate facilities & to ensure they have as much access to the beautiful game as possible. As soon as the crowdfunding page has been finalised & the opportunity to purchase these kits becomes available, I will link them in my bio 🇳🇺

Fun fact: The Niue FA realised that they were actually associate members of @ofcfootball, so got in touch with them to let them know they were actively playing football on the island & wanted to see if there were funds available to help them develop. Upon receiving this information, the OFC then revoked their membership for being inactive for too long! 😂

Too many postings on the best of 2024. Personally I didn't keep track on what came in...maybe I was too focused on clearing things up to the States, UK and Australia....around 80 x 10 boxes maybe...some incoming but it's all subjective. Then I remembered this...
Obviously a Rapido shirt with the South Korean flag but unknown status. It's a fact that South Korea did wear Rapido in the 90s until theyve changed to Nike around 96/97 and the the home and away jersey for the first Nike kits had almost identical designs to the Rapido shirts. I've seen the picture of the red and white Rapido design before it changed to Nike and similarly for this design. As you could browse thru the pics or if you happened to notice @worldshirtsnet posting, this almost similar design was used only once vs Croatia on 13/3/96
for Nike. So, I would only assumed that Rapido had prepared it's design for both home and away only for the Nike deal to struck thru and they modified a bit on the design. Hope there's someone who would able to assist as this shirt already has the faded 11 number in front and back and seems to have a patch that is missing. More often than not that the early Nike design would have the 2002 World cup promotional patch that is square but the shadow that I'm having is in oval.
Well, it's not the first time as Flamengo did used the Adidas design and put it on an Umbro shirt before this.
Anyway, bye bye 2024 and Happy New Year 2025 to everyone!

Tanzania 2023/24 Away
On my mission to collect a shirt from every country I need to pick up some boring shirts
But this one is far from it!
There’s always something special about owning a shirt that was purchased in the nation represented!
I only have this because @worldshirtsnet was kind enough to bring an extra shirt for me back from his trip to Tanzania!
This is the second shirt I have that was originally purchased from the country it represents part from Scotland shirts (for political reasons I’m too scared to post the first one atm)
