Lots of new followers lately, so we had to share a bit of our story. Bonus points if you make it to the end.

Shout out to all the homies, partners, friends, family, and general high-vibe ballers who have helped create this rad community.

Building players one session at a time. Work through mistakes and learn from them. Repetition is the greatest teacher. Trainings with Coach Dupe

If not for the kids, then who?

We had a time watching the faces on these little ballers light up as they got their chance to step onto the court under the lights during La Coupe de Norfolk.

This is the next generation of street ballers and football lovers and we believe moments like these are what develop a lifelong love of the game. Just give them the space and let them play.

Everything we do at @mercifootball has the youth in mind, we want to create a dynamic, creative, and inviting culture they want to be apart of not just another hyper-competitive sport that turns into a chore as they get older.

Thanks to @playyourpositionwrld for leading the charge and always putting the youth first!

Merci FC’s La Coupe de Norfolk was nothing short of cinema. @cafemerci__ were slinging ‘spros and @maggiekarlov pastries while @theveilbrewing_nfk had brews and zah. Huge shout out to all the ballers, especially to @tal3ntonyc who traveled from NY and took home 1st place. It was a wicked good time getting to play with you guys. Also can’t forget the fans who brought the hype and vibes.

Thank you to all sponsors who made this possible but even more importantly — thank you to the masterminds behind Merci FC. For the people, for the culture. East Side City FC can’t wait to run it back next year.

Thank God for Football.

Merci beaucoup.

Let it be known, Merci Football doesn’t exist in a vacuum. It’s people like Dupe who have been around for years that have helped us grow and push our mission forward and we are pumped to partner with the OG once again this year for our annual tournament.

@playyourpositionwrld has been engaged in the ground work of building physical, mental, and emotional well-being in our local youth by teaching technical soccer fundamentals in conjunction with essential life skills for many years.

If you got a young baller on your hands, bring em out to the tournament this Saturday to kick around for a bit and then reach out to @futbolrdupe10 after to plug into his training program and trust he’ll get them on the right path.

Merci!
