Over this last year I’ve made myself so proud, on top of all of this I also successfully directed my first multimillion dollar 1-hour TV episode while 4 months postpartum, while pumping every 3 hours on set without missing a beat directing (often pumping while setting up a scene or actively filming a scene), while sick with an ear and throat infection, while nursing overnight every 2 hours. I no joke feel like I can do ANYTHING after that whirlwind.

Though I want nothing more than to hold my 11-months old baby up to the world and say “look what I made!” While beaming with the most amount of pride and joy a person could possibly possess, you’ll just have to wait to meet them in real life one day. Unfortunately, with the way the world is right now posting photos of children online is absolutely not a safe thing to do. You’ll have to take my word for it, they’re the cutest, most precious, silly, clever baby in the whole entire universe! (Totally not biased I swear!) Their name is Atwood Galloway and we chose to not assign a binary gender at birth and we will let them tell us when they’re old enough how they identify. So for now they/them are the pronouns we’ll use for them :)

So grateful for the best retirement party ever and the best community. This side quest has resulted in 11 of the best years of my life. I’ll still be around, but I’m stoked to not have all this hard work resting on my shoulders. Excited to just be the fun uncle. (I’ll still be running @sngfest because it’s less work and I can’t totally quit.)

Wanted to share some gratitude with the amazing team taking over. Run N Gun is in such good hands. And if you make it all the way to the last slide, you’ll get to hear my hot takes on throwing a mindful event. So stoked to see what the team does next year! @discoveryphotos @tristan_c_pina @saigedewell @randileeleonard @christina.marie.adams @wormcereal @ashleysugi @aarontrippy @jude.gross @ethanwingrovetv @marielashuley @aalisonchan

It takes a small army to run this festival. It’s been so much work leading up to the gala! So if you see any of these beautiful people at the party, give them a high five, and maybe buy them a drink. Run N Gun is a labour of love. So send these people all of your love!

Star Cats (Days 1 +2)🌟
MEOW !! It’s been over a week since we wrapped Star Cats and i’m still living in la la land. I can’t believe i got to make a movie with so many amazing people !! Working with all my best friends on a project I wrote and directed was beyond magical for me. I also met so many incredible people in the process and just feel forever grateful for all the hard work people poured into bringing this to life. Every day on set was an absolute joy.
I can’t wait to share more photos and eventually get to share this film with everyone 💗

MEMEMTO MORI:
A SEASON FINALE PERFORMANCE

Arts Umbrella Dance Company returns with Memento Mori: A Season Finale Performance, live at the Vancouver Playhouse, May 21-23.

Featuring works by 15+ of the world’s most influential choreographers including Crystal Pite, Marcos Morau, Sharon Eyal, James Kudelka, Medhi Walerski and more, this performance invites you into moments that are intimate, and unforgettable. Each work is a reminder to be fully present, to feel deeply, and to witness beauty as it passes.

Spending the day creating with this group of dancers and artists was something really special. So much talent, expression, trust, and openness in the room. The kind of images and memories that stay with you long after the performance ends.

Here’s to a beautiful season finale.

Huge thanks to the Hero’s of the night. Our incredible operations team of @ashleysugi and @wormcereal who ran one of the smoothest delivery nights in Run N Gun’s history. Now we will finally let them sleep.
