Three days off the grid… and we have come home with our hearts so full. 🧡💙

We have spent the last four years working so hard to build the foundation of Subsonic Soulmates, and we are proud of what we have created. When we sat down to plan for 2026, we knew we wanted to put more time into building relationships within our wedding community.

We had no idea that would lead us up a mountain with this amazing group of people!

With the busy season behind us, our vendor friend @marriedbycole suggested we disconnect from the grid and super connect with each other. A mountain hike and a few days away together? Yes please!

We don’t get out hiking very often, and making new friends doesn’t always get the time it deserves either. These last three days gave us both, with so much love, encouragement and support along the way.

To everyone who shared this adventure with us… thank you for making us feel so welcome and helping make it all happen. We are so incredibly grateful to have been part of it.

Already looking forward to the next adventure together! 🏔️💖

These two love adventure! I feel that @shadowlakelodge fit them perfectly. They searched for a long time for a wedding that would feel like them, and I would say that we nailed it! These amazing photos were captured by @wornleathermedia it’s pretty obvious to see from the pictures why this is one of my favourite places to visit! I wish you all the best S&S!

Who wants to get married here for FREE! Yes It’s contest time! We are giving away two nights at Shadow Lake Lodge between October 4-8. You also get a wedding photographer to capture the moment and a customized ceremony. To enter go follow @shadowlakelodge @wornleathermedia @marriedbycole TAG a friend for extra entries. A few details this is coming up fast so make sure you have availability for the dates. You will need some sort of wedding attire. We will be hiking on the wedding day to get amazing views! Please look up Shadow Lake Lodge it is a 13km hike/bike to access the facility. For an extra entry you can also send me a DM telling me why you would be a great fit for this adventure elopement!

☀️This year has been quite the journey. But everything is worth it for this one life we get on this planet. There's beauty in the pain and the fear. You can find joy if you look hard enough. You can also go out and make your own ☀️

🏔We wanted something new in our lives. We wanted adventure. We wanted to live beyond complacency. So we changed our circumstances. We moved to Portland, Oregon 2 weeks before getting married in Canada. Neither of us had lived on the west coast. We visited here once for a few days and just said "sure, let's try it". 🏔

🤍We got married by strangers I found on the internet - alone in Canada in the woods on a mountain. Amazing genuine people do exist in this world, but sometimes you gotta trust the process and have faith in others. They are amazing and we will never forget the incredible work they did for us. Thank you guys so much for the generosity of your time, the lovely chats on the hike, and the beautiful companionship during our ceremony 🤍

To celebrate our 10th anniversary we decided to finally do a wedding photoshoot since we never really did one when we got married, and we figured the epic views of Banff (which we had visited on our honeymoon) were the perfect location. Lexy even wore her wedding dress again to top it all off 🥵😍
