Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver and Central East Alum Xavier Worthy gave a few local moms money to help them kick-start their education.

Under the “Mom’s Going Back to School” program, Keondra Moore and Ayanna Ayres received the special surprise during a special event on Saturday at Fresno’s City Hall.

The Worthy 1’s foundation runs the initiative aiming to help single moms looking to build a better future for their families.

After seeing how much his own mother sacrificed as a single parent, Worthy knew he wanted to make an impact off the field.

If he scores 30+ on your fantasy just blame it on me!

Anything lessss? I had absolutely nothing to do with it😂😂😂!

On a different note, I LOVE meeting people who inspire the hell out of me! 🙌
He didn’t get where he is by sitting on his couch! Behind every success story are years of hard work, discipline, sacrifice, and showing up when nobody’s watching.

That’s the kind of energy I love being around!

Far too often, we see people leave Fresno to pursue their dreams, achieve success, and make a name for themselves, only for us to never hear from them again. But that’s not your story, Xavier Worthy!

You and your mom have chosen to invest in the very community that helped shape you. By helping single mothers pursue their college education, you’re creating opportunities for women to build brighter futures for themselves and their children.

Thank you both for believing in the women of our community and for using your success to open doors for others.

Hey There Mamas 💛.

We’re shining a light on the Worthy1Foundation and some very talented kids who had the opportunity to design cleats that will actually hit the field—with the first reveal coming November 7th! 👟🏈

I had the pleasure of talking with Nicky Jones when Xavier Worthy was beginning his rookie season, before the foundation was launched. It’s wonderful to see the vision flourishing and creating opportunities for young people.

We love seeing kids given the opportunity to dream, create, and watch their ideas come to life.

Can’t wait to see these designs on the field! #Worthy1Foundation #XavierWorthy #CleatsForCause #Sportsmoms
