POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Skid Row doesn’t need more people talking about it. It needs people showing up.

This Sunday, Do Good International & Friends were back on the street with our partners: @weimpactla @woundwalk street medicine team, @letsgetittogether_now the barbers giving free cuts and the @skidrowmayor , who’s been fighting for our unhoused neighbors every day. 🙏🏾

Hear him in his own words: it takes people. Humanity. Us.

That’s why we’ve formally asked the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to partner with us in three priority areas:

1️⃣ Emergency supplies & protection. Hygiene kits, tents and shelter supplies, especially for unsheltered women, elderly and children facing the highest risk of violence, rape and exploitation.
2️⃣ Fentanyl & meth intervention. Coordinated outreach, treatment connections, harm reduction and real recovery pathways.
3️⃣ Continuum of Care partnership. Connecting street outreach to interim housing, supportive services and permanent homes.

We meet immediate needs today while building the road out of homelessness for tomorrow.

Together we can Do More. ❤️

Earlier this year, tens of thousands of people in and around Garden Grove were forced from their homes as first responders worked around the clock to prevent a chemical explosion. I was on the ground throughout the emergency and saw firsthand the fear and disruption our community experienced. We were incredibly fortunate that the situation was brought under control without an explosion or reported injuries, but we cannot rely on good fortune to keep our communities safe.

SB 883 addresses the gaps this incident exposed and puts stronger safeguards in place to help ensure it never happens again. I thank Governor Newsom for signing this legislation and for his commitment to protecting California communities.

A look back at Wilmington Works! 💙

Thank you to everyone who joined us for a day of job opportunities, community resources, and connection. The event, organized by the Wilmington Collaborative, brought together so many people committed to supporting the Wilmington community.

A special thank you to Self Help Federal Credit Union for welcoming us and providing the space to bring Wilmington Works to life. We are also grateful to every organization, sponsor, volunteer, donor, and community partner who contributed their time, resources, and support.

Most importantly, Wilmington residents showed up, made connections, and gained access to new opportunities and resources. We hope the connections and resources shared that day will have a lasting impact on our community.

Thank you to everyone who made the day possible! 💙

**Do you care?** @mayorofla @nithyaforthecity @hudgov @lahomelessservices @hhcla

We’re not asking for another committee. Another study. Another press conference.

If any of you truly want to help homeless children, veterans, seniors, widows, and struggling families, here’s the plan, and it’s simple:

**1️⃣ Keep People Alive.** Water. Blankets. Hygiene kits. Tents. Safe shelter. No child sleeps on cold concrete. No veteran is forgotten on a sidewalk.

**2️⃣ Fight the Drug Epidemic.** Fentanyl and meth are destroying families every single day. Treatment and recovery cost less than funerals.

**3️⃣ Get People Into Housing.** Real, expanded pathways — emergency vouchers, transitional housing, permanent solutions. Housing isn’t the finish line. It’s the starting point.

Right now, 7–8 people are dying on LA’s streets every single day. Billions have been spent, and people are still asking: *Where are the blankets? Where is the urgency?*

Leadership isn’t measured by speeches or the amount of money in your PAC. It’s measured by lives saved.

**One. Two. Three. Do Good and DO IT NOW!!

Doctors, students, actors, teachers, writers, musicians, entrepreneurs and even our unhoused neighbors, people from EVERY walk of life are showing up to serve our community. When our government fails us, the Do Good community steps up.

While elected officials shamelessly smile on campaign trails and dodge real responsibilities, we are doing the work ourselves. Driven by love, solidarity, and a refusal to wait around for empty promises.

Real change doesn’t start in government offices. It starts right here on the ground, together.

“When people care, people’s lives will change.” — @skidrowmayor

The crisis in LA’s Skid Row is escalating, and the numbers behind the unhoused mortality rate demand immediate action.

* 7 Deaths Per Day: an average of 7 unhoused children, adults and elderly are dying on our streets every single day in Los Angeles.
* 17x Higher Risk: Skid Row’s homicide rate is 17 times the Los Angeles city average.
*$2.4 Billion Missing: Elected officials and fake non-profits continue to steal billions of taxpayer dollars, with no accountability and no shame.

Systemic fraud and neglect costs lives. Real change starts when we pay attention, demand accountability, and serve the most vulnerable communities together.

Our Back 2 School Bash is possible because dozens of community partners, businesses, nonprofits, volunteers, schools decide to invest in local families.

A kind word. A sincere smile. Genuine conversation.
These may all seem like small gestures, but in a place where people are constantly looked over and judged on sight, these gestures can help break down barriers.
Consider linking up with us to continue bringing hope and #lovingwithoutprejudice .
