Where to start…

A 40-minute PR, PRs in all three disciplines, my first podium, and a WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP QUALIFICATION???

When this race was canceled last month, I was devastated, feeling like all the goals I’d worked toward had been cut short, and when it was rescheduled, I went into it unsure of what my body had left to give. Little did I know that this race would not just meet, but exceed every single one of them.

It’s funny because I don’t think I have ever really had normal conditions for a 70.3 so far, and this race was no exception.

Starting in an ice bath (literally) in 54 degree water temperatures where the swim was cut short and I was just focused on just staying alive and not panicking to ending in the relentless sun doing everything I could to cool my body down hours later - It was a race of complete extremes and a reminder of what lies on the other side of ā€œI can’tā€.Ā

Somehow, I still think of the bike as my weakest discipline, but even with some brutal headwinds, rough roads, a lost carb bottle, and no feeling in my feet, this race once again proved that it’s actually my strength.

I crossed that finish line knowing I’d given absolutely everything, but I had no idea just how much I’d accomplished until afterward. I can’t help but look back to my 1st 70.3 last July, and appreciate how far I have come and how much work I’ve put in to get here.Ā

The support from the volunteers and the spectators out on that course was one of a kind. Every single person that cheered for me on and off the course got me to that finish line and made this result happen. I am beaming with gratitude and love for this sport and community😭🫶

CHATTY HERE I COME!!! šŸš€

In 2026, women made up 30% of the start line at IRONMAN 70.3 North Carolina.

We think that number should be 50.

So we’re doing something about it — and we want you with us in Wilmington next October. 🌺

🫶 Share this in your stories & tag the women you want to stand next to on the start line in October.
