Revisiting George Street Chambers. Getting to know the people behind George Street Chambers became one of the most insightful parts of the design process. 30 Barristers, each with their own routines, tastes and ideas of what a workplace should feel like. Conversations moved between the practical and the personal, from how each barrister preferred to work to their choice of stone, the texture of a fabric or the selection of artwork they wanted on their walls. This is just one of the chambers, a distinctly individual space, speaking to the broader architectural language of the workplace.

Some of our favourite details on this project aren’t just about how they look — they completely change how the space feels. Working with Billy Cooper Electrical, we integrated these super-clean 8mm LED strips directly into the joinery and around the Woven Image acoustic panels. Everything is controlled through the Pixie app, giving you the ability to adjust the lighting and completely change the atmosphere of the gym depending on the moment — bright and energetic for training, or warm and relaxed when you want a different vibe. That’s exactly why Woven Image panels + integrated LED lighting have become one of our favourite combinations. Texture, acoustics, lighting and design all working together — and with so many finishes and lighting options, we can tailor it to virtually any style. A big part of what we do at MOTM Gym Projects is turning functional elements into features.#homegym #garagetransformation #sydneygym #creativespace #spacesbuiltwithpurpose

| Colour without the colour. When the brand doesn’t come with a defined colour palette, we look to materials to create one. For this project, depth and personality came through warm timbers, burgundy, olive, charcoal and layered tactile textures - creating a palette that feels considered and distinctive without having to rely on bold colours.

Three current briefs, one consistent problem, acoustics got left off. The fix doesn’t have to be an afterthought and it certainly doesn’t have to look like one. There are plenty of teams out there doing amazing work with acoustic solutions. Case in point 👆 Obsidian Build knows what to do when things don’t sound quite right.
