when we were planning all things dark room, never did it cross my mind that we would be nominated for or win anything for our work. we were just focused on trying to make a special place as two poc industry ppl in the neighborhood we both lived in. it is truly an honor to be a @tales_of_the_cocktail 2024 nominee for best new cocktail bar (u.s. west). again, and always, thank you @friendlygomez for agreeing to do this project with me. we love this industry community for supporting us in our first year of business and beyond and everyone that comes in the door and gives us a chance. and I forever have the most gratitude to the team of creative, passionate, intelligent folks that come to work in the dark with me. ya’ll have taught me so much and dark room would not be the place it is now without you.

blessed to have a beautiful support system in my life, professionally and personally. all the late night serious talks, unhinged and totally hinged pop ups, aquarius dinners, dance clurbs, dog pics, laughs and whatnot - it’s how I stay somewhat sane. love you all 🖤

two weeks of food to celebrate making it as a living being for another year. from osf to eating snacks in bed w my bar team girlies to lakeside sandwiches to eating pizza after a huge meal to a beautiful vegan tasting and every single bite in between. thanks for showing up for the eating/imbibing/generalized merriment. blessed to have an amazing friend cook for my bday three years in a row now and to have the sweetest babes spoil me with all the treats, love, embarrassment and adventure.
