This mirror cap looks like wet forged carbon fiber, but it is paint protection film conforming to a compound curve with heat. That melting carbon effect is the whole skill, getting flat film to wrap a double curved mirror with no lift, no seams, and no fingers along the edge. Heat too little and it tents, heat too much and you cook the adhesive.

Carbon fiber pattern PPF is the move when you want the look of real carbon plus actual rock chip and scratch protection on a high impact panel. Mirrors take constant abuse from road debris and door dings, so a self healing film here is protection that earns its keep, not just a style play. Prep and post heat are what make it hold for years instead of peeling by summer.

The mirror is the panel that separates clean installers from everyone else. Tight curves, no room to hide.
