I'm very happy to share that I've renewed my publishing agreement with London-based @faberalt - the home of Faber Music's alternative, crossover writers and artists 𓅓 It's a real honour to continue working with a team that has supported my music and songwriting over the past few years, and I'm grateful for the belief they continue to place in the work. Here's to the songs still to come x Wren

This Friday, @heat_arts_festival & @quietlifeco bring together two distinctive voices for a special double bill. On 14 August, @wrenhinds & @francescabiancolizingara will each perform full-band sets as part of the @heat_arts_festival lineup for an evening moving between intimate songwriting, expansive arrangements and immersive live performance. Francesca’s music draws from the rich meeting point of neo-soul, jazz and contemporary song, while Wren Hinds Band inhabits a more elusive space, songs opening out into layered, atmospheric arrangements that shift and evolve in the live setting. Two very different musical worlds, brought together in one room. If you’re going to catch one night of HEAT, make this one x Tickets via @quicket (link in bio)

Physical is how we always intended our work to exist. Not reduced to a fraction of a cent inside some endless subscription plan. The best music discovery platform still lets you own music, and today, 100% of your purchase goes to the artist, thanks to our friends at @bandcamp 🐎 Four Wren Hinds records on vinyl via @bella_union , plus my sneaky first instrumental album, Incantations. Go dig. Buy something. Own it. wrenhinds.bandcamp.com

Happy third birthday to this little beauty 𓅪 Recorded entirely on a Tascam 24-track Portastudio, with zero screens or digital DAWs involved, Don't Die in the Bundu was released in 2023 on the great British label @bella_union - and is very much a snapshot of where I was at the time. I was writing through a strange season of life. The world was coming out of globally imposed lockdowns and curfews, I had just become a father for the first time, there were the KwaZulu-Natal riots of 2021 in my homeland, a close encounter at gunpoint while doing the portraits for the record, a cape cobra crossing my path, and a handful of other moments that shaped these songs. It was also my first label release after many years of putting out music independently. Still feels like yesterday. Thanks to everyone who's spent time with this record over the last three years.

It’s only been months since we’ve all been playing together and looking back at these moments feels like it’s been a load longer. Every gig is a journey which allows the music to flow between us while Wren delivers his incredible vocal tone and songs of personal introspection. Can’t wait for the many roads ahead guys!
