Happy Lesbian Visibility Day 🧡🤍🩷

My art has evolved just like me.

When I look back at the work I was creating years ago, I see a younger version of myself who was still figuring out who she was, what she wanted to say, and how much of herself she was willing to share with the world.

Over the years, my paintings have become bolder, more intimate, and more unapologetic. And in many ways, so have i.

Painting sapphic love has given me a space to explore my own identity, celebrate the beauty of loving women, and tell stories I once might have been too afraid to tell.

There’s something really special about growing alongside your art. Looking back and realizing that the things you once approached so timidly have become the very things you’re most proud of.

I’m grateful to be part of a community that has made me feel seen, understood, and celebrated. And I hope that through my work, I can offer even a little bit of that feeling to someone else.

Here’s to loving women, being visible, and becoming more ourselves. 🩵

@wrenn : “I Don’t Think SUNO Is the Future of Music” 🤖🎵

Is the future of music really typing a prompt and getting a finished song back? 🤖🎵

Zoe Wrenn hopes not — and she doesn't think that's where music creation ultimately ends up.

She talks about what she calls the “Suno future” of music and the pressure some musicians are already feeling to use generative AI simply because it allows them to create faster.

One of her musician friends tried it and told her:

“It made me create faster, and then I hated myself during it and after.”

That's the bigger question Zoe raises:

⚡ Is creating faster necessarily creating better?

🤖 Should AI make the music — or remove the tedious parts around making it?
🎵 What happens to the joy of creating when the machine starts doing the part you actually love?

It's also central to why Zoe is building @tamber.music differently.

Her philosophy isn't to have AI replace the artist. She wants technology to remove friction so musicians can spend more time actually making music — summed up by her line:

“I want AI to do the dishes for me, not write a song.”

Would you use AI to generate an entire song — or do you want the creative process to stay human? 👇

An Investor Said THIS to @tamber.music Founder Zoe Wrenn… So She Dyed Her Hair Blue 😳💙

Zoe Wrenn's blue hair has an origin story — and it started with one unbelievable investor meeting. 😳

In the early days of fundraising for Tamber, Zoe was pitching an investor when he stopped her in the middle of the presentation.

She recalls him telling her:

“I don't really get it, but I think you'll be fine because people love to watch a blonde talk.”

At the time, Zoe says she wasn't as confident as she is today, so she actually stayed and finished the meeting.

Afterward, she closed her laptop and immediately called a friend who was always dyeing her hair.

Her response was basically:

💇‍♀️ Send me whatever color you have.
💙 It happened to be blue.
🔥 And Zoe decided she'd rather immediately show people who she was than try to fit their expectations.

That's how the blue hair started.

And there's an even crazier piece of context:

Zoe says she heard 98 NOs before getting her first YES while raising Tamber's first round.

Sometimes rejection doesn't just change the company you're building.

It changes how willing you are to be yourself while building it. 💙

@wrenn Wrote a 30M-Stream Song With Software She Built Herself 🤯

Zoe Wrenn didn't just write a song that went on to surpass 30 MILLION streams — she wrote it using an early version of the software that would eventually become @tamber.music 🤯

Zoe explains that the technology wasn't writing the song for her. She was playing acoustic guitar and used the early software more like a creative sparring partner, helping her explore ideas while keeping the actual songwriting in her hands.

And the song came together FAST.

🎸 Acoustic guitar in hand
💻 Her own early creative software
⏱️ Roughly 15 minutes of writing
🎵 One finished idea
🔥 30M+ streams

But why did “Hailey” connect with so many people?

Zoe talks about why she thinks the song resonated — and the lesson is bigger than chasing streams or trying to manufacture a viral song.

Sometimes the music people connect with most comes from following an honest creative instinct instead of overthinking the outcome.

And when Zoe finished writing “Hailey,” she remembers immediately thinking:

“That’s a hit.”

The experiment would ultimately help lead her toward building Tamber — technology designed to assist human creativity rather than replace it.

This weeks show was a mixture of throwbacks and some new music as we are still having some technical issues within the studio. On September 14, 1984, Madonna performed “Like A Virgin” for the first MTV Music Awards! So I played that and some other hits! Thank you to @Connor for helping curate the list!
Hopefully you heard a new song you’ve never heard before!
The link in my bio contains an anonymous submission for music, my old recordings from each week, and my show on the WNYO website. Catch me Mondays from 10am-12pm, on 88.9FM WNYO or wny0889.org! ~ DJ HONOR RAT #radio #radioshow #wny #collegeradio #wnyo

Finally, an AI built to empower musicians. 🎵

Meet Tamber, an AI tool built for musicians by a musician.

While generative AI can create entire songs from scratch, Tamber is taking a different approach. It is designed to help musicians with parts of their creative workflow while allowing them to maintain creative control and authorship.

Its founder, Zoe Wrenn describes Tamber as a “bionic arm” for musicians.

Maybe the future of AI in music isn't about replacing creativity.

Maybe it's about giving creativity more power.

Are you good enough?

Been thinking about that question a lot lately, so Gut Genug felt like the right song to play.

@wrenn reached out after seeing my last air synth video and thought I might make something cool with @tamber.music. Naturally, I had to try 😂

So here’s Gut Genug. Sax in one hand, harmony in the other 🎷🖐️

Turns out you don’t need both hands to make some noise.
