A little glamour. A little mystery. And apparently… a little trouble😏🧚🏾💚🤫. Stepping back in time, the 1920’s to be exact, and headed to the speakeasy for some illegal activities 🍸. @absinthe_absente curated a special night where we sipped crafted absinthe cocktails, ate hors d’oeuvres, listened to jazz, and entertained by dancers. And just when we thought we were settling in… “It’s a RAID!” I came here for a cocktail, not a criminal record. 😭 10/10 would absolutely get myself into this kind of trouble again with my partner in crime @nattyrocberry ! Detroit really knows how to turn a night out into an experience. #DetroitEvents #DetroitCreator #Absente @absinthe_absente @wrightdetroit

Here’s the story: absinthe, the legendary green fairy, was banned in the United States by 1915, wrapped in mystery, myth, and rumors of hallucinations. So a Prohibition-era-inspired cocktail party built entirely around it? That’s the kind of experience you can’t get just anywhere. Craft absinthe pours, old-world atmosphere, and a room full of people soaking up a piece of forbidden cocktail history. And Wright & Company is the perfect host for it. This James Beard-nominated gastro-bistro is known for its serious craft cocktail and gin program plus incredible shared small plates, the Michigan mushroom pâté, the potato mochi, those famous house chips. Elevated, historic, and effortlessly cool. If you’re searching Detroit restaurants near me for standout events and hidden-gem vibes, save this one and keep an eye out for the next Absinthe Night. — #DetroitFood #DetroitNightlife #EatDetroit #DetroitFoodie #hire86 @wrightdetroit

For one night only, I stepped into a 1920s inspired world for Illegal Absinthe Night with Absente🧚🍸. @absinthe_absente I got to try absinthe for the first time, and the flavor was definitely unique and had a classic black licorice taste. Such a fun experience discovering the history behind the spirit ✨ Have you ever tried absinthe? #DetroitEvents #Thingstodoindetroit #DetroitFoodie #Absinthe #AbsintheCocktail

I got invited to an Illegal Absinthe Night at Wright & Company in downtown Detroit, and this was definitely one of the most unique Detroit events I’ve been to lately. There were absinthe cocktails, a live jazz band, flapper dancers, a tarot reader, light bites and plenty of Detroit creators in the room. And yes, I tried absinthe for the first time. 👀 If you’re looking for unique things to do in Detroit, Detroit date night ideas, downtown Detroit nightlife, or fun events in Detroit, this is exactly the type of experience I’m always trying to find. 📍 Wright & Company | Downtown Detroit @absinthe_absente @wrightdetroit #DetroitEvents #ThingsToDoInDetroit #DetroitNightlife #DowntownDetroit #deedoesdetroit
