When a prominent politician's prized wristwatch goes missing in a hotel room, an endearing housekeeper suddenly finds her freedom in jeopardy when she is jailed for theft. Trinket is a story of how the lower class is treated in Nigeria. In the opening titles, Trinket refers to the “life-changing treasure” that the average person enjoys, but a mere “trinket” for the political class. In this case, these treasures are an education, a job, one’s integrity, and one’s body. Film Threat has recently had the great privilege of watching movies and short films from Africa, particularly Nigeria. Trinket is a remarkable example of how to raise awareness about injustice and provide a much-needed voice for its victims. Despite the rawness of the acting and cinematography, the film’s message is potent and unapologetic. Don’t miss the chance to experience this film and its powerful perspective on issues. TRINKET (2024) Directed and Written: Sarah Juma Starring: Christiana Vincent, Blessing Uzero, ToriaOgiri, Ilai Ibbi, etc.

"The Coverfly team reached out to me months ago after noticing my profile, gave me an endorsement and have been an instrumental partner in my journey to gaining representation. Once we chatted about my professional goals, [the team] helped me set up meetings and adequately prepared me for them. What I appreciate most is that even after signing with my manager at Bellevue Productions, the relationship with Coverfly doesn't end here! The team reassures me that they'll be working with me along my career path ahead." Congrats on signing with Bellevue Productions, Sarah!

You make the movie through the cinematography - it sounds quite a simple idea, but it was like a huge revelation to me. #cinematographer #sammykingfilms #dp #dırectorofphotography #fulltimefilmmaker
