I used to think that if enough time passed, I could avoid feeling my feelings. Like eventually, I would wake up and everything would just make sense.

But most feelings aren’t that easily resolved. Most feelings take time to move through and actually… feel.

Feelings don’t just disappear over time. Sometimes, they just get quieter. Sometimes, they come back in waves. And sometimes, you have to finally give yourself space to feel what you’ve been trying so hard to ignore.

And I’m learning to be okay with that.
