New collab with @writeherewithme ! I am so glad with how this poem turned out and it was a pleasure to collab on this one with such a talented writer:)🖤

This poem is called “key to the mind” and was inspired by the importance of realizing the amount of sides and various emotions that go on within every one of us every day. Each great mind has darker sides to them and each tortured soul has a story and a smile on the inside. With some it might be hard to see if hidden, but sometimes the reason the opposite side is in hiding is from the judgment all around us. It’s important to find a healthy balance and we hope this poem will serve as a reminder to that by emphasizing the impact it has on society through powerful verses that hopefully bring out some thoughts of your own on this subject!:)

Here is the poem in full if needed:

Absolution, resolution, fraught with transgressions,
Imprisoned feelings shunned within,
Disillusioned by false confessions,
On my knees from your personal sins.

The consequences tough and settled like sediment,
Unable to control my thoughts revel in power,
Most overseen as keepsakes of sentiment,
But the mind holds the treasure to make inner chaos cower.

I’ve doubted often my role in my conscience,
When the words on my tongue don’t feel like me,
At the times I dare speak, voices combined proved unresponsive,
Behind one door the mind’s been silent, whereas the other held the key.

So I rise and stand against the contrary voices in the wind,
Unlock my alienation, disapproval and despair,
Let them tear apart the darkness and the doubt within,
And feast on my shame and conditioning, so I can care
