Winds of Ericiel II: WAR

By

Mae Camp

Rating:5/5

Review:

👉Mae Camp proves that a second installment can be every bit as captivating as the first, if not more so. Winds of Ericiel II: WAR expands the world in meaningful ways, transforming what began as a story of survival into an emotionally charged tale of leadership, sacrifice, and unwavering loyalty. From the very first chapter, the novel establishes an atmosphere of uncertainty where every decision carries weight and every victory feels hard-earned. It is a gripping continuation that keeps readers fully invested from beginning to end.

👉One of the most rewarding aspects of this book is Catherine's remarkable character growth. She is no longer simply reacting to the challenges around her she is actively shaping the future of two kingdoms while struggling with the immense burden of responsibility. Her doubts, fears, and determination make her feel authentic, and the author never allows her journey to become effortless. Watching Catherine wrestle with impossible choices while trying to protect those she loves creates an emotional connection that only grows stronger as the story unfolds.

👉The relationships remain one of the novel's greatest strengths. Rather than relying on romance alone, Mae Camp explores trust, loyalty, and emotional resilience within Catherine's unique bond with Adrian and the ten Elite warriors. Every member of the group contributes something valuable, giving the ensemble remarkable depth. Their camaraderie, quiet moments of comfort, and willingness to sacrifice everything for one another make the emotional stakes just as compelling as the battles themselves.

👉The looming threat of the daemon-possessed barbarian king elevates the tension throughout the novel. His relentless pursuit of conquest creates an overwhelming sense of danger that never lets up. The battle sequences are vividly written, balancing large-scale warfare with intimate moments of courage and heartbreak.

Winds of Ericiel I: Prophecy

By

Mae Camp

Rating:5/5

Review:

👉This book is an ambitious and emotionally charged entry into the romantasy genre, one that fully embraces both its epic scope and its intimate character dynamics. Set in a world on the brink of invasion, the novel wastes little time establishing high stakes political, personal, and emotional. What begins as a story of kingdoms and strategy quickly evolves into something far more layered, blending war, power, and unconventional love into a narrative that feels bold and unapologetic in its direction.

👉Princess Catherine of Lyria stands at the heart of the story, and she is anything but passive. From the outset, she is defined by her loyalty to her people and her fierce determination to protect what is hers. Even when faced with the loss of her kingdom and forced into submission under a conquering emperor, Catherine never feels diminished. Instead, she adapts, observes, and resists in ways that feel both believable and compelling. Her strength lies not in perfection, but in her refusal to break, making her a protagonist readers can genuinely invest in.

👉Emperor Adrian adds a layer of complexity that keeps the narrative constantly shifting. He is not easily categorized as villain or hero, and that ambiguity is one of the novel’s strongest elements. His actions are often harsh, yet there is a calculated purpose behind them that slowly unfolds. The inclusion of his ten Elite warriors could have easily felt excessive, but Camp gives each of them a distinct presence. Their relationships with Catherine develop gradually, shaped by tension, loyalty, and shared circumstances, creating a dynamic that feels more like an evolving bond than a simple romantic trope.

👉The tone of the novel leans into its darker elements, and it does so with intention. Themes of power imbalance, cultural conflict, and survival are woven throughout the story, giving it a weight that goes beyond typical fantasy romance. The romantic aspects are intense and, at times, challenging, reflecting the complexity of the world the characters inhabit.

Happy reading 😊

🚨”WINDS OF ERICIEL 1 PROPHECY”🚨

Details:
In the end, what truly prevails is love... in all its forms.

Emperor Adrian, the iron-fisted ruler of Torthia, faces a crisis as his ally kingdom of Lyria braces for invasion. In a quick-witted move, Adrian preempts the invasion by claiming Lyria himself. His conquest comes with a reconnection to the spitfire Princess Catherine. She’s young, stunning, spirited, and the sole heir to Lyria’s throne – she’s also the key for Adrian and his ten fearsome Elite warriors to unite both kingdoms.

But with Adrian steeped in Torthian traditions and Princess Catherine’s Lyrian heritage, their cultures and methods inevitably clash. Yet war looms on the horizon, and they must learn to coexist to lead their kingdoms to victory.

For Catherine, this means sacrificing her freedom and embracing the Torthian ways – including the rugged Torthian warriors and her inexplicable affection for all of them.

This is Book One of the Winds of Ericiel series—a why-choose epic romantic fantasy that solidifies the notion that “It’s just Love.”
