For once, I don’t want to be anyone’s anything.
I just want to breathe, feel, wander, and exist—
without the past behind me or the future ahead of me.
Just this moment. Just this breath. Just me. 🤍 #justme #selfreflection #LKwrites #innerpeace #poetrycommunity

A princess or a prisoner
Ready to escape

The dramatic ivory walls
The quiet corridors
Echoing halls -
and lonely balconies

The castle carved into gold
Like a gilded cage
With locked gates
And rusted keys

The enchanted rustic tower
Rose above till the sky
Yet freedom whispered
Nothing but denial
With unblinking eyes

And yet,
she wore a crown
leashed liked a chain
Over her head
