𝑲𝑰𝑳𝑨𝑻 - 𝑻𝑰𝑹𝑨𝑰 𝑵𝑰𝑺𝑲𝑨𝑳𝑨 ⚡️⚡️⚡️ @wv_sorcerer_productions edition available for pre-order now!! With obi & poster. Azurite vinyl or pure black. Limited press. Act fast. 閃電 神秘帷幕 New full-length offering of primitive, hostile and unpolished raw black metal. Melbourne black metal trio KILAT @kilatbesihitam return with Tirai Niskala, their second full length album and most expansive work to date. The album pushes the band’s collision of uncompromising black metal and aural alchemy into darker and more immersive territory. Formed in Naarm/Melbourne in 2021, KILAT aligns vocalist Karina Utomo (High Tension, Rinuwat), guitarist Benjamin Andrews (My DISCO, Agents of Abhorrence) and drummer Rama Parwata (Whitehorse, Rinuwat). Taking their name from the Proto Austronesian inherited word for ‘a flash of light in the sky’, the trio channel the ascetic practices of nature through dynamic hyper blast beats, tremolo picked full spectrum guitar sonics and hypnotic dense vocals. Tirai Niskala, broadly evoking a “veil of the unseen” continues KILAT’s exploration into Niskala (the unseen realm in Javanese cosmology) that exists alongside the material realm. Across eight compositions, the album moves through immaterial visions of Niskala, traversing through visceral sonic landscapes, presenting black metal not simply as an abrasive onslaught but a coalescence of atmosphere and invocation. The album was created on the traditional lands of the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation. KILAT acknowledge their continuing connection to these lands, waterways, culture and stories, and pay respect to Elders past, present and emerging. Sovereignty was never ceded. ▼ KU - Vocals @karinautomo BA - Guitar @benjaminwayne RP - Drums @rama_parwata Recorded at Goatsound Studios, October 2024 Recorded by Jason Fuller Mixed by Xavier Irvine Mastered by James Plotkin @plotkinworks Artwork by Gian Manik @gian_manik Layout by Alexander 葉 L. OUT NOW on R.I.P PEACE RECORDS… RIP-018: OBELISK - S/T [DEMO CS] Arising from the swampy plains of so-called Brisbane/Meanjin are OBELISK; a new 3-piece industrial crust project bringing you their debut offering in tape form. Five unforgivingly bleak tracks with genre elements also heavily embedded in UK extreme metal/punk as well as the darker end of the UK anarcho spectrum. Impressively executed drum machine and the carefully crafted incorporation of brooding electronics/synth-laden atmospherics only adds to the overall mystique on this monolithic journey through an impenetrable fog. Densely gloom ridden from the onset and throughout. Evocatively embracing the realms of an apocalyptic wasteland in the midst of nuclear winter. It’s everything you could ask for when it comes to sonically portraying what happens when the doomsday clock sits at one minute past midnight. Embodying a spirit akin to that of AMEBIX and KILLING JOKE with strong nods to GODFLESH, FALL OF BECAUSE and SPINE WRENCH. Furthermore, drawing parallels to the soundtrack-esque aspects of the industrialised crust-opera of SAW THROAT - ‘Inde$troy’. Whilst having a captivatingly authentic feel to a modern band à la RIGOROUS INSTITUTION. An elite recording of epic proportions with the highest of recommendations. There’s no sanctuary for the living when the enemy remains the same. What do you see when the clouds clear? 200 copies available on black stickered tape shells in hand-numbered j-card w/ xeroxed lyric sheet insert Recorded, Mixed & Mastered By R.C // @geist.ist.geist + S.E Art/Layout By Alexander Brown // @wroughtmaterial Swing me a message through here if you’d like a copy PLEASE EMAIL: RIPPEACERECORDS@GMAIL.COM for wholesale enquiries Link in bio to listen - Peace

My god what a night this was. First chance to catch @sterilegrind, @unsanitarynapkinpunx in this configuration, a second time for @deathro_com, and first @chemchain for me with Solomon on bass. Mad crowd, young and old. Treated to an opening from @chemchain, getting the action fully ripping. Always do good. Never less than 100%. @unsanitarynapkinpunx pulled up next and plundered a magnificent set of their take no bullshit punk rock. Another dream fulfilled. @sterilegrind beat the place into submission with riffs and blasts and all round massiveness underpinning the gargantuan vocals. Which led us to @deathro_com who left nobody wondering who he is. Bringing the crowd closer and closer til there was basically no room for the band, crowd surfing, running right out the door into the car park, and dancing on a stool brought the house down. Fvkk yeah @deathro_com, and fvkk yeah the whole show. Brilliant from start to finish. Excellent work @wroughtmaterial Alex. Absolute banger. Gig#94 for 2026

Bremen, schnallt euch gut an! Poster artwork by Alexander Brown (@wroughtmaterial)

DEATHRO AOTEAROA ‘25 TOUR DIARY! Available to view on Neocities and @internetarchive 🖤 Our 2026 tour of Aotearoa and so-called Australia with @deathro_com starts in two weeks, so to celebrate we’ve edited together footage from our tour last year on a cute site designed by Ru and Alison!! ‼️2026 tour starts in two weeks ‼️ ‼️tickets on @undertheradarnz ‼️ In 2025, Kanagawa Japan’s #1 Rock Vocalist, DEATHRO, travelled to Aotearoa, New Zealand for an 8 show tour of the Land of the Long White Cloud. He was joined by Displeasure, a side-project of the anarcho-hardcore band Unsanitary Napkin, who organized the tour in collaboration with Wrought Material/Alexander Brown. The tour was filmed on a Panasonic RZ-1 VHC-C camera, and all the audio is raw from the tape. The camera was also handed around the tour group, and much of the live footage was filmed by people in the audience. As a result, the footage is patchy and inconsistent and the audio is almost always blown out. Assembling it has been a labour of love, and hopefully it captures a few precious memories and documents a musical partnership and friendship. Thank you to @object______ , for filming so much heartwarming footage in Te Waipounamu. @wroughtmaterial , @good_ideas_angel , @cozycozecoze and so many others I’ve forgotten for being kind enough to film shows at a moment’s notice. @good_ideas_angel again, for all your help editing the tour diary and for everything involved in making this website. @dailysecretion for illustrating the link icons used in this website, for rockin’ out, and making the tour poster!! @wroughtmaterial again for the DEATHRO logo and font, for illustrating the tiny DEATHRO angel, organising the Tāmaki show and the poster designs! @unsatisfyingnaptime for organising the bulk of this tour and making magic happen! @605morningsidedrinkery , @mesoverse , @porridge_watson , @newtownfestnz , @creeps_record_parlour , @yours_otepoti , @lytteltoncoffeeco , @rootsbartakaka , and Tim’s Place for being wonderful hosts.
