So, along with his other activities T is also a licensed DJ….We joined him last night to help host a show. His mistake was allowing @el.yse7536 pick the music. :) @wrpitroy

Many years ago in maybe 1995 @jimmacnaughton and some other like minded folks in the capital district did live radio shows on WRPI in Troy NY. This flyer is from one of those gigs where Devoid Of Faith got to play with Scotland's Oi Polloi and the Blown Apart Bastards. Somewhere there is a tape of this show in a RPI archive. My fondest memory from this show was Deek from Oi Polloi's amazing sense of humor. #oipolloi #punkhardcore #wrpi #devoidoffaith #punk

DIVE PRESENTS Sweeping Promises. Live At No Fun (275 River Street - Troy NY) 11/8/2026. Early Sunday Show with doors at 5 PM and show at 6 PM. Vibe - New Wave / Post Punk / DIY.

Ticket Information - On sale NOW on No Fun’s Eventbrite. $16 ADV / $20 Door.

More about the show:

Sweeping Promises was born in a disused and reverberant concrete laboratory in Cambridge, MA. Tracked with a self-devised “single-mic technique” and mixed in mono, serial band-starters Lira Mondal and CauField Schnug completed their debut, Hunger for a Way Out, just in time to enter quarantine. With only a single basement show under their belt, the band received an unexpectedly wide reception, firstly in online punk circles, and eventually stretching beyond.

In 2023, having gotten the chance to tour the USA and abroad with live drummer Spenser Gralla, the duo relocated to their new home and DIY recording compound in Lawrence, KS, and released their sophomore album, Good Living is Coming for You, on Feel It Records (US) and Sub Pop (EU/UK). The album received wide critical acclaim for its pop songwriting and idiosyncratic punk production and led to yet more touring, boosting the band’s reputation as a fierce live act.

We are thrilled to welcome back Sweeping Promises to No Fun after an incredible set back in 2024. Local support from Sky Furrows who perfectly complimented the last Sweeping Promises gig along with Baddreamadventure. Going to be a good one. Pull up.

DIVE PRESENTS Elephant Stone, Stevenson Ranch Davidians & Abyssmals. Hyped on this full lineup announce! Live At No Fun (275 River Street - Troy NY) 9/17/2026. Vibe - Psych Rock / Alternative / World. Support on this gig by our friends at WEQX.

Ticket Information - On sale at No Fun’s Eventbrite. $17 ADV / $22 Door.

More about the show:

Formed in Montreal in 2009, Elephant Stone is the brainchild of vocalist, bassist, songwriter, and sitar player, Rishi Dhir. Also featuring Miles Dupire (drums/backing vox) and Gabriel Lambert (guitar/backing vox), Elephant Stone have toured extensively throughout North America and Europe and are prominent members of the burgeoning psych rock scene. Dhir has recorded, performed, and toured with indie rock icons (Beck), legendary cult bands (The Brian Jonestown Massacre), and contemporary psych titans (The Black Angels and The Horrors).

Stoked to welcome back to No Fun for the third time. Full lineup is very rad. Touring support by Stevenson Ranch Davidians and Abyssmals who played with Elephant Stone the last two times we hosted. This is a psych gig you don’t want to miss. See you there!
