The Swahili word “KIPENZI” is synonymous with these two English words; “Beloved” and “Darling.”

Ni msimuliaji wa hadithi za ushairi, anasema,
Mmeuona utamu wangu?

❤️💕 Ndani ya ushairi ndipo moyo wangu ulipo, uandishi ndio nyumba ya roho yangu.

La mchuchu,
Limbwata lanimbwatika.

Dabwa dabwa,
debwe debwe.
Kitomeo amenitomasa.

Ya ahamaru lipsi zake,
Wangu laazizi wa moyo.
Ya kururu ngozi yake,
mimi ni wake poyoyo.

Ndiye wangu afyuni,
kipenzi mururu.
Ni wake ashki majinuni,
naishiwa usununu.
Zilizala mapigo ganzi,
moyo ameuzingizi.

Akhiyari wa mtima,
binti ameniengema,
Nampeleka kwa mama,
anapenda kuinama,
akiniona kwa nyuma.

Third slide is about REBIRTH|KUZALIWA UPYA @asusa.cwi @poetry255

Ukipata nafasi ya kuendelea,
na sababu ya kuamini.
Usikalie mkeka, shazia bibi kakupa,
uchague kunyoa, ama kusuka,
usikwangue ukoko wa kipara cha ngoto.
@mashairitanzania

FIRST AND SECOND SLIDES

Some pieces don't just have to pass, they need a place to stay in. This poetry performance got me too, as I recited I got more into what I was saying.

Thanks to @judenceauthor for the beautiful book discussion about "The bridge between worlds"😍 @wsa_rwanda for the moment 🤍 @manzi_manro for the smooth instrumental that accompanied my piece.😍 @goetheinstitut_kigali for a good place that had our hearts together for this event.

Rwandan author Judence Kayitesi launched her new book, A Bridge Between Worlds , at Goethe-Institut Kigali. The story follows Rukundo, a genocide survivor living in Germany, and her son Ethan as they navigate identity, cultural heritage, and belonging between two countries, emphasizing that people can bridge multiple cultures rather than choose one. #Dove
