I could write an entire book about what Wakaan means to me and why, year after year, it’s the one festival I’ll ALWAYS find my way back to no matter what.. 🥹🩵 But I think one of the biggest reasons is the people. The beautiful souls that have found their way into my life at exactly the moments I needed them, even when I didn’t know it at the time. People I’ve met in different places, during different chapters of my life, who have become so incredibly special to me. And once a year, this little mountain in Arkansas brings so many of those people back together. No matter how far apart life takes us or how much changes between then and now, for a few days we’re all right there again.. dancing under the same sky, making more memories with people I couldn’t imagine my life without. There’s something so special about looking around and realizing just how much love you’ve found along the way. And how lucky you are to have found people who make a place feel so much like home. Wakaan has given me so much more than music and memories. It’s given me people, connections, and little pieces of myself that I didn’t even know I was missing. And for that, I’ll forever be thankful. Until we’re all under the same sky again.. 👽🛸 thank you @liquidstranger and @wakaanfest..

baby’s first wakaan 🍰 this festival felt like crossing the finish line of a marathon i didn’t even realize i was running - allowing myself to feel vulnerable, process grief + trauma, but still make room for the silliness and feral gremlin hours 🪩 the mountain truly provided ⛰️

This past weekend at Moreflow was one of the best weekends I’ve had in a really long time🥹.. Just feeling extra grateful for the amazing people I get to have in my life, the opportunities that keep finding me, and all the moments that make this silly little life feel really special🥰..
