Look at this beautiful calendula! We just unpacked a giant bag from @hillside_botanicals , a regenerative certified organic herb farm in central Vermont. We have this available for you on our herb shelf, and we put it into some of our tea blends, plus it goes into our @wunderbudder calendula oil and salves 🧡 We love to work with flowers that are so vibrant!

Making @wunderbudder herbal salves! This is me (Lisa 👋🏼) making & partially labelling this batch of our Paramedic herbal infused salves. These are SO GOOD for dry skin, especially this time of year. This is obviously sped up, but I did these pretty quickly! I only had to replace one crooked one. I didn’t record the making because it’s a loooot of time waiting for wax to melt and I still don’t know how to edit reels! But I do know how to make a good salve 🧡

Original Wunder Budder 🧡 This was the salve I (Lisa 👋🏼) started making for myself around 2001, then built my first business (@wunderbudder ) around! I technically started Wunder Budder in 2002 🥹 I made this salve because there was nothing available at the time that felt how I wanted it to feel! The internet was around, but not like it is now, so maybe someone somewhere was making something amazing, but I couldn’t find anything in stores. There was a big national brand making salves, but they were too hard. I wanted a spreadable salve! A “super soft salve”! So, I created one ✨ Original Wunder Budder is made with calendula infused oils, of course (our WB logo 🧡), but unlike traditional salves, it also has a bit of glycerine and honey, and it’s lightly whipped. These things give Original Wunder Budder its extra special and unique feel. We make this right here in our kitchen! Pick up some Wunder Budder in person Wednesdays-Saturdays 11am-6pm and Sundays 11am-5pm, or online (Alchemy & Herbs or Wunder Budder) anytime, but remember! We are closed from July 4th through July 13th (except for Saturdays) 💛

Botanical Oil for bath/body/massage ✨ by @wunderbudder (that’s us, too 👋🏼! ) This is a nourishing blend of argan oil, apricot kernel oil, and jojoba, infused with calendula flowers, that absorbs well into skin so you don’t feel greasy after applying. It comes unscented always, or we can add lavender essential oil, and soon come scented in a currently unnamed 2025 summer scent. Did you know? You can refill this and any bottled Wunder Budder products here in the shop? We refill your bottles for you out back in the kitchen. And we take back any empty tubes to be recycled through Terracycle! Pick up a bottle in person Wednesdays-Saturdays 11am-6pm and Sundays 11am-5pm, or online anytime 💛

Hi 👋🏼! It’s me, Lisa, the owner of Alchemy & Herbs, and the formulator and creator of our tea blends. Before I opened this shop and built the kitchen out back, I made Wunder Budder in a studio inside my house in Exeter, starting in 2014. My commute was 10 seconds long and I took breaks with my and Mike’s two dogs (Mike is my husband, if you don’t know us: @reverberation_records). Before I had a house, I made @wunderbudder in a studio I rented in Salem, MA starting in early 2010. Moving into this studio is why I call Wunder Budder’s official birth 01/01/10. This was the year that I built my first website and started selling online. This was when I turned Wunder Budder into a real business. Before I had a studio (or a website), I was making Wunder Budder only seasonally and selling it word of mouth. I mostly worked out of a closet in a small apartment I shared with my husband. Not even a walk-in closet, just a regular closet. I sat on a plastic bin full of supplies, in front of a multi-duty bookcase. I worked out of this closet for several years, and made salves and balms in our tiny galley kitchen. Before I had a closet, I had an idea to start a business based around a product I created, now called Original Wunder Budder - a multi-purpose “wonder butter”. It was 2002, and I was staying at my mother’s house in MA after a cross-country move from NM. I registered my business name, and bought my web address for future use. Before I had a business idea, I had really dry skin, and love for calendula. I was studying herbalism in NM in 2000, and couldn’t find calendula oil anywhere. A local herbalist told me I should make my own and blend it with beeswax, so that’s what I did. I loved experimenting with formulas and eventually came up with my own favorite formula. Before I had a love for calendula, it was 1998, and I was working in a factory in Ireland. My hands were always covered in tiny cuts. I walked into a health food store and was shown calendula oil. I had never heard of it, but figured I’d give it a try. My hands felt so much better, and my love for calendula was born 🧡 📸: @melissakoren / @youreabigdealdotcom

The TEAM Equinox Fest is going on now! Swasey Parkway now until 4pm Don’t let the rain get you down! It’s beautiful out here, totally fall-like (perfect weather for this weekend) Lots of vendors! I didn’t even get pics of everyone yet, but I wanted to share what I got so far. Music, food trucks, artist and maker tents, face painters, Connect Four on the lawn (one of my (Lisa 👋🏼) faves!) - it’s good vibes all around! I’m going to try to tag some of the vendors, but if I don’t tag you, please tag yourself if you see this! If any of you out there take event pics, please tag us (with an @) so we can share to our stories! . . . #teamexeter #teamexeterartsmusic #exeterequinoxfest #teamequinox #weareexeternh #exeternh
