This was a huge moment for me and a last minute decision.

Thanks to my cousin and her friends, I went on a boat trip across the Red Sea to Dolphin Island, where we decided to try snorkeling.

Armed with our life jackets, snorkeling gear, and a spirit of adventure, we jumped in.

My first attempt was a complete fail. I can’t swim, and we were literally in the middle of the Red Sea. The guides had pretty much given up on me, but I wasn’t ready to give up on myself.

I asked for one more try.

And I’m so glad I did.

What I saw beneath the surface was one of the most beautiful sights I’ve ever experienced. Colourful fishes, vibrant coral reefs, and a whole underwater world I’ll never forget.

Sometimes the best memories begin on the other side of fear.
