I have often been asked why I chose to run for House of Delegates. While I always had aspirations of eventually following my father’s footsteps in becoming a Delegate, the timing had a lot to do with the assassination of Charlie Kirk.

I was first asked to consider running for House of Delegates the weekend following 9.10.2025, and then again at a vigil honoring Charlie’s life and legacy in my hometown of Martinsburg, while with my boss at the time, Congressman Riley Moore.

As a Gen Z, I was particularly impacted by his death and often found myself mourning our nation’s loss of a Godly man who had the courage and bravery to risk his life while calling upon my generation to welcome Jesus Christ into our hearts and minds and to never stop seeking for truth.

Charlie was someone who refused talk down to my generation, and he never once saw us as a “lost cause” or “too far gone.” In fact, he reminded us that our voices not only mattered, but that they were powerful and encouraged us to always use them for good.

While reflecting on all that Charlie fought for, the answer for me became easy. In that moment, any lingering doubt of being “too young” or subliminal belief that my age ultimately meant that I would be taken less seriously went out the window. I realize that I am just one voice, but I feel compelled to never let Charlie Kirk’s death be in vain.

I still listen to clips from Charlie’s campus tours, and I am frequently reminded that my candidacy gives me an opportunity to connect with the people of my community, to listen and learn from them, and to make them feel heard. For that, I am immensely grateful, and forever indebted to Charlie for all the sacrifices he made for young conservatives.

Charlie Kirk ran a heck of a race, and it is up to my generation to finish it for him!

Hard to believe this was almost a year ago.

Nearly 400 friends joined us for last year’s Reagan Dinner and an unforgettable evening with Johnny “Joey” Jones.

The best part wasn’t just what happened on stage. It was seeing so many familiar faces together in one room.

This year we do it again.

@concha.joe from @foxnews joins us September 25 for the 16th Annual Reagan Dinner, and we hope to see everyone back again along with plenty of new faces.

Let’s make another great memory together.
