Excerpt from full length video Cutshaw- Blind Date @_c_u_t_shaw cuts ZERO corners in the studio. This is an all hardware situation, played and recorded live. For those who understand that’s important to note. This is an album for home listening and the club. I’d file this under - balearic, tracky, Chicago, dream-house, library, horror soundtrack, dub, left field- all at once. Machines and humans coexisting in textural, supple, chaotic harmony. @_c_u_t_shaw is a long-gestating project of synth veterans Cameron Brand, Mike Broers & Scott McGaughey. Imaginary Landscapes steeped in energetic Library Music, this Chicago power trio guides you through the rainforest with a David Toop book under one arm and a Tom Noonan flick looping in the back of your mind. Samples wash over you, a Buchla Music Easel becomes the perfect percussionist, and the House vibes soothe. This is music for the Dance Floor as much as it is music for the Headphones. Funky Bladerunner (c) movie consciousness with an eye on hypnotic grooves. Cutshaw’s @areaman_chicago debut LP “Second Configuration” is out NOW. Available online at bandcamp (link on bio) and exclusively at @gramaphonerecords - if you are a Chicago record store or shop abroad DM me to secure dealer prices.

It has also been a total honor and treat to be able to assist in making this amazing music project part of the physical history of the Chicago soundscape. @_c_u_t_shaw cuts ZERO corners in the studio.
