Lake Placid is totally a gold mine for foodies, and not a far weekend trip from Buffalo! We visit every year around New Years and hit up some of our favs and also had some new discoveries! Highly recommend taking the drive up for a couple days.

☕️ Origin Coffee Co - perhaps the best breakfast burrito I’ve had? Not new to the ADK, but new to the main strip of Lake Placid. Had their maple latte every day and have zero regrets. @origincoffeeadk

🐷 Smoke Signals - we would drive 6 hours for this BBQ alone. We always get the BBQ nachos, the pig wings are 🔥, and we were really impressed with their chicken wings! @smokesignalslp

🤠 Wyatt’s - small, but mighty! This Tex Mex shop on the main strip is our fav lunch option. You can make your own burritos, rice bowls, salads, etc. and they have tons of other options. Throw sweet potatoes into your bowl! @wyattstexmex

Visit for the views, the history, and absolutely the food.

Top roping & tacos - is there any better combo?

Whether you're new to climbing or building confidence for the upcoming season outdoors, the gym in Mountain Pass Lodge at Mt Van Hoevenberg is a great place to hone your skills... and work up an appetite!

Climbing is hungry work. Follow up your gym session with a stop at Wyatt's Tex Mex BBQ in the Alpine Mall for tacos! Build your own perfect creation and dig in to delicious 🌮

🌒Eclipse Road Trip🌘
•
We had ourselves a little #FoodieRoadTrip up to #LakePlacid for the solar eclipse and tried some great spots while we were there! This was our first time here and we definitely want to come back in the summer. The crowds were as expected and some local spots seemed overwhelmed but handled everything beautifully!!!

Corporate needs to find the difference between these two pictures (they’re the same picture)

Check out The Trails Collective podcast and livestream for endless amounts of running banter from the ADK crowd, and much much more!
