Hi All!!

Many of you may or may not be aware but I coach youth football, the Wynnefield Rebels. 2 weeks ago, we won our 3rd consecutive championship!! And since that day, we’ve been prepping for the big dance in Florida, the National Championship! For a lot of these guys, it’ll be their last chance to compete for a Natty before they move on to high school ball. I’m extremely proud of the work, dedication, commitment, and leadership these guys have put in on the field, and in the classroom. But as we know, it takes a village, or a community, to support the development of young men.

So, this Cyber Monday, and Giving Tuesday, I am asking that you all support our efforts to get these boys to Florida for a chance to bring home a National Championship! We’ve been able to offset a lot of our costs through donations, fundraisers, and able families supporting others, but we still need help.

We will rent a bus and drive the team down to Florida for a 9 day stay at an Airbnb. Last year we implemented our Black Male Development Program, integrating etiquette training, leadership development, home economics, community outreach, financial literacy, mentorship, public speaking, & homework time (no they do not get off school, we request the teachers send them with work), into the sports programming. This year we will continue the tradition.

If you believe in this mission and vocation, I ask that you please consider donating to our efforts. I am working on a special “Thank You” for all Sponsors and Donors, if you have any suggestions, please let me know.

Thank you all for your donations of money, time, positive energy, good vibes, and prayers as we continue this important work.

I am extremely proud of these young men and hope that they get the opportunity to showcase their skills at the highest level.

If you would like to make a monetary donation, please send it to my Cashapp ($joeyjem) with the note “Rebels Champs” so I can be sure to include you in our thank you’s.

Senator Hughes, Representative Cephas, and Councilman Curtis Jones Jr. came together to present over $1 million dollars in grants from the state and city of Philadelphia for improvements to the Granahan Playground and Recreational Center.

Senator Hughes explained that Granahan Playground is one in a series of projects he's working on with Rep. Cephas and Councilman Jones to make sure state and city funds go to projects at a community level. When we all work together, good things can and will happen for our communities. #lovemycommunity

Family, we (@wynnefieldrebelsfb) are opening ourselves up to partner with sponsors to help us recognize, celebrate, and honor our young men who made sacrifices all summer through the fall and achieved league Championships, respect of their peers, and the opportunity to play nationally. We would love to promote your business to our growing network of families centered in the Wynnefield section of West Philly and we would certainly appreciate any value you can provide! #ThisAintFootBall

Spent my #MLKDayOfService with my community organization, @wynnefieldrebels and our collaborators, @sjuhawks_sadev. We spent the day beautifying the community and it’s mainstay place of worship, @pinnmemorialbaptistchurch. After our service, we had our first Skills & Drills clinic held by SJU and Wynnefield’s very own, Eric Woods. My cup is filled 🙏🏽
