⭐️ My new song “Coco” is out now! Listen below ⬇️

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Tears are filling my eyes as I write this, because when I sit back and take in how all of this has unfolded, it feels like something that happens only in a world beyond “reality.” And yet, here we are. ❤️

Following the NYC premiere of I Am: Celine Dion, I slid into Wyn’s DMs for one simple reason: to congratulate him on such an extraordinary moment.

For those of you who may not know, Wyn’s song, Who I Am, was featured as THE song that buoyed Celine during one of the most vulnerable chapters of her life. (See slide 2). His words. His music. Without a doubt, they became part of the soundtrack that carried her through and helped her find her way back to the stage.

The moment I hit send on that message, neither of us could have imagined where that one little DM would lead. What began as a simple congratulations grew into a profound friendship. We bonded deeply. Fiercely. And the time we shared in Paris only deepened and solidified that connection in ways I’ll forever hold close to my heart.

I can’t thank Celine and her incredible team enough for making this experience so unbelievably special for Wyn. To have witnessed it all unfold, to see the impact of his music come full circle in such a beautiful and meaningful way, has been a gift I will never, ever forget. It’s a moment I will reflect on often, and one that will always stay with me.

Here’s to “Chapter 3… “ of Celine’s “New Book” and to the hope that it brings these two very special souls together, singing Who I Am side by side. 🫶🏼😉🎶🙏🏽

Wyn Starks names his listener specifically on "Coco," addressing a "coco girl" and "coco boy" directly rather than writing about Black identity in the abstract.
