The Magick of Motherhood: A Couples Maternity photoshoot in Misty + Moody Downtown Tacoma 🤰✨💛

This beautiful couple is expecting their little nugget come November 2026! We wanted to make sure we got some maternity photos in just in case she went into labor early and set their photoshoot date for early September.

The request was for a downtown Seattle photoshoot in the heart of Pike’s place with some inspo photos that had been taken during an overcast/rainy day. Now, I might be a wizard but I can’t control the weather unfortunately, lol. But wouldn’t you know it? Washington weather came in clutch and gave us the EXACT weather for the moody vibe we were shooting for !

Now the only tricky part with sessions in this type of weather (minus keeping the camera dry) is that it can be a bit on the chillier side and we want to ensure we are working quick enough to avoid making you freeze ! To do this, we started off this adventure having breakfast at the Hob Nob which is cute small diner in the center of town. We reviewed places we drove by heading into the city along with the type of shots we wanted to get during this session so we had a game plan to work with.

We ended up finding a small cross walk intersection that was perfectly placed next to a few older buildings along with a gorgeous vibrant green small park so we had plenty of areas to work with without having to go too far.

It did end up sprinkling on us the entire session which only helped set the mood/tone for this fall baby’s shoot perfectly! We were able to capture so many beautiful images together.

Another year around the sun 🌞 here’s my once in a blue moon post about life other than the band.

If I didn’t say it to you directly, thanks so much for making my birthday so wonderful on Sunday. Truly, I feel very privileged to be in the position I’m in. Very grateful for all of you and I can’t wait to see what the next year holds. Ladies and germs, we made it to 33.

STUDIO UPDATE! The bed + green walls are officially GONE!

We now have the cutest new area for your next lifestyle, boudoir, or branding session☺️ Natural lighting is a lot better in this part of the studio now however we are facing the east side so you rely on natural light for your sessions booking earlier in the day/before noon for rentals in recommended.

The black desk will eventually be turned into another vanity area just working out the details of how I want to set it up. Debating hanging the large 3 panel mirror that’s on the floor now above it but I LOVE the reflection shots I’m able to get with my sessions so aim so torn 🥹

Located in the dtlv arts district inbetween Colorado/Charleston on 4th street ✨ By appointment only
