A whole year without you, Gunz… and it still don’t feel real. Feels like we lost you just yesterday. You were taken way too soon, and there’s still so much I wish I could’ve learned from you. But in the 25 years I got to know and love you, you taught me more than you probably even realized. You taught me to love hard and love everybody because life is short and unpredictable. You showed me it’s okay to be passionate, to feel things deeply, even if people don’t always get it. You were misunderstood sometimes, but you were always real. You never watered yourself down, and I admire that more than ever now. You had a way of making people feel seen. You had your own way of doing things, but your heart was always in the right place…

I just wish we had more time together. More hugs. More laughs. More “I love you’s.” Grieving you has changed me forever, but I carry you with me in everything I do. In the way I love, the way I protect, the way I lead with my heart even when it’s heavy.

I miss you every day, Gunz. I’ll never stop. I love you always 🖤 #StillGunz 6•22•24
