11:53pm- My grandmother, Mary Brown (whom I’ve never met) had children over a span of 3 decades. 2 weeks ago, for our moms 70th birthday, my sister and I arranged for a family photo with my mom and all her siblings. Out of all the photos we can find through the last 80 years, there is always 1 sibling missing. This is a complete photo— with all of Mary and Alex Browns children.

About 2 days after this photo was taken, my eldest Aunt, Dorothy (80 years old) got ill and passed away while I was in Brazil. I’m so happy we had that weekend together.
.
Thank you Kalvin for answering my call and finding this beautiful space at the nursing home to make this happen. Little did we know this would be the last time they all would gather together.

Thank you Chantel and Kaylene for making this day so special for all my aunts and my mom.

I’ll cherish this day for as long as I live.
