✨ A book that made me pause, think, and question. ✨ Some stories stay with you because they help you see the world from a perspective you may not have experienced yourself. This book brings together real stories and experiences from the transgender community, exploring identity, discrimination, acceptance, love, courage, and the simple wish to be treated with dignity. 🤍 It’s a thought-provoking read that reminded me how important empathy and understanding are. If you’re looking for a non-fiction read that makes you reflect on society and the way we treat people who are different from us, this is definitely worth picking up. 🌈📖 QOTD Have you ever read a book that completely changed your perspective on a topic?

As I Am is an amazing non-fiction piece of literature that talks about transgenders through their life stories and various aspects like identity, history, science, religion, family, etc. Right from the beginning, with the key question—"what exactly is their mistake?"—the reader is immediately hooked. Personal experiences, historical background, scientific study, and views of different places in the world gave something to think about after each chapter. It is really great how the book puts people first. Struggles, hopes, relations, resilience, and the ability to be oneself are depicted quite openly. Chapters devoted to children and family problems, religion, working place issues, and society's expectations impressed me the most. Identity is not a mistake and there is always a person behind the label is the main message of the book. Sure thing! I would recommend this book to all who are ready to listen, learn, and see beyond the labels. TGC Book Thoughts - 7 Innocence along with suffering could be found through the minimalist cover with two balloons and the silhouettes of people. A perfect design, which reflects the mystery of the book in all respects. Disha by Yasir Rizvi is a suspenseful psychological thriller that combines family drama, hidden secrets, loss, and investigation into it all. With a seemingly simple confession about the murder of her child made by a woman, Collins the inspector feels there is much more to find out. Suspense, multi-layered characters, and skillful story telling were enough to hook me to the last pages. "The question is not who killed Disha. The question is: how long ago did it begin?" A perfect choice for psychological thriller lovers. A haunting, emotionally powerful thriller that stays with you long after the last page. Highly recommended! Have you read Disha yet?
