Xander Sutton came in needing to get his exit velo back up. He wasn't chasing a number for the sake of it, he needed it for his game.

He hit a PR of 105 in the process. Then he committed to a Division 1 program, and he credits the exit velo jump with helping make that happen.

His words: "Yooooo, I just hit 105."

This is the best way to fix your timing because it gives you more of it. When you’re not on plane, you’re giving yourself less time, and a lot of us think we’re bad at timing the pitch when we’re just working with too little time. Give yourself more time by staying on plane for longer, and you’ll give yourself more chances to hit the ball. It’s not about being pertectly on time. It’s about being on time enough and still catching a barrel. Lots of time there. But you get the point.

I caught up with @xander_s10 the @appbaseball signee out in Rock Hill, SC. How he was able to make the biggest baseball decisions, trusting his faith in it all and more.

🔥G2G Spotlight🔥

Xander Sutton, what a season he had at Gaston Christian School. The Appalachian State University signee earned All-Region and team Defensive player of the year honors and helped lead his team to a conference championship in his final high school season.

A true leader on and off the field, Xander was as steady as they come behind the plate and a complete wizard in the batter’s box. His ability to handle a pitching staff, control the game defensively, and consistently produce offensively made him one of the toughest competitors around.

Hats off to Xander for the work he’s put in and the legacy he leaves behind at Gaston Christian School. App State is getting a ballplayer.
