Sunday morning …..

Last night was Harry Styles with my best friends. I have seen some monsters in my time, from Bowie to Michael Jackson, George Michael, Springsteen, but last nights concert was the best one I have ever been to.

I have been thinking about this a lot. We had the rock stars of the 70’s and 80’s, with groupies and giant egos, drugs and mayhem. And now we have, increasingly, young stars like Harry, Taylor Swift, Bad Bunny, who have set the ego aside and are truly invested in connecting with their fans. They are authentic, kind, and at their core, good, GOOD people; they understand their platforms are a chance to do good in the world, influence people in the best of ways.

I was struck, over and over last night, by how open-hearted Harry is, how he makes a point of making everyone there feel special, and seen. He is both humble, and grateful, and it feels completely authentic. Everyone on that stage, everyone around him, is joyful, confirming my theory that every company culture starts from the top - whatever their values, their spirit, it trickles down to everyone in the company, imbuing it with the same spirit.

I danced all night. Our spot was extraordinary (I had to sell a kidney to pay for it 😉), Harry ran around that arena spreading love, and kindness, and joy, and it left all of us with full hearts, and so much hope.
