Cardinal Freshman perform well at Gettysburg meet. Today at the Aubrey Shenk Invitational, CCBC Catonsville freshman took a big step forward in their development. Coach Pryor was pleased by how all of his athletes ran the 8k (5 miles) distance after 8 weeks of quality training in their adjustment from high school to college. Leading the way for the Cardinals today was Jayden Thornton (Mervo HS graduate), who improved his 8k time from 37:26 to 31:41. Coach Pryor has been anxiously awaiting Jayden to emerge, and today was that day. Christian Robinson has been training hard all season, with today showing it for another big improvement in his 8k time from 35:21 to 32:52. Darrell Smith Jr. had never run an 8k race this season, but today, he ran with purpose and focus, producing a 33:16 time. Both Julian Prioleau and Kyon Dickey had the biggest improvements in their 8k times. The team heads into the Region 20 Championships ready & eager. Why? - because everyone “Trusts the Process” #hardwork #focus #jucoproduct #trackandfield
