ili - 2021

When the glass ceiling fell, the sky entered.
Plants reclaimed the ground. Artists reclaimed the walls. Two forms of renewal emerging from the same absence.

Whenever I visit @xbm.studio ; a wave of expression invades my being , I see creation everywhere in every form visible or invisible , tattooing , mugs حبً calligraphy all over the place , paintings 🖼️ and this time I felt like call to do a yoga session for blessings and anchoring divine presence , I asked for a yoga mat and they offered me one .
Thanks to my photographer @waahii_ba

Fouad Yehiaoui aka @fwad_____ was 12 years old when a teacher encouraged him to exhibit alongside students far older than him.

Today, the Algerian artist and designer moves between sculpture, installation and design, exploring authenticity, memory and the cultural references that shape everyday life. Alongside his own practice, he is also the co-founder of XBM Studio, one of Algiers’ leading independent creative spaces.
