I might have accidentally entered my birding phase…I’m a little obsessed with the woodpecker family in particular but also can’t get enough of those darn ducks. 🦆 - Sony a6700 - Sony 70-200 f2.8 GMii #downywoodpecker #idahobirds

Big thanks to Paul RyBolt of the Camerosity Podcast for introducing me to the wonderful 4X4, medium format TLR (twin lens reflex) Yashica 44A.
This one has a super bright viewfinder and is incredibly small for a waist level viewfinder camera.
The 127 film isn’t super easy to find but I have four different examples (about 9 rolls) headed my way. I’ll post scans once I develop the first couple of rolls. #camerositypodcast #yashica44a

I’m pleased with the results from this 67-year-old camera. This is my first experience with medium format and there’s no going back. The 60mm square images have a depth and feel that is hard (if not impossible) to imitate.
I purchased the Yashica A from a seller in Japan, he stated that the gray color is rare… This one came in its original box with the instruction manual (written in Japanese, of course).
I took it apart, did some cleaning and then shot a roll of Kodak Portra 400, 120 film.
These are a few of my favorites.

Center lane vantage point of the coolest building on Overland. Last shot on the first roll in 30+ years.
Canon AE-1 Program, FD 50mm f/1.4, Fuji 400…I’m so back. Big thanks to @timelessphotoboise for processing and digitizing…and just being nice. 👍

Was given a @chrisreeveknives coaster, so I thought I'd do some coloring and staining to make it pop. Thanks @xcanyonx
