The photo in the background includes @killermike , @realcandaceowens, @troubleman31 and others. Different views but all love for the black community. It was part of the strategy session as we prepare to go out and engage black men in the area of civic engagement. We are going where they are; barbershops, restaurants etc. We will show them love but tell them they matter and hear them. We are creating space for black men to talk. The team includes conservatives, progressives, liberals, GOP, Democrats, independents, blue collar, white collar, business owners, union etc There are estimates from the last census, that over 1.5 million black men did not participate nationwide. We can't have a repeat. But we need to understand why so we're going to go ask them and hear them. Shout out to @tonetalks and @ycarnell for the inspiration. #BlackMenEngaged #BlackMenCount Credit to @uncwhlgn and @breyoncewhite for connecting us. Much love sister ❤️

During the 2010 census, it is estimated that 1.5 million black men did not participate in the census. That translates is into billions of dollars not being distributed to their communities where they live. We will not have a repeat.
