The 120 best pilots in the world, from 25 nations, will be competing for the title of PWCA World Champion at the PWC Superfinal in Grindelwald-Interlaken, in one of the world’s most spectacular Alpine scenery ! 🪂🏔️

In May 2024, a World Cup was organised very successfully for the third time in the Grindelwald-Interlaken area. In May 2027, the same clubs – Jungfrau-Tächi Grindelwald and Deltaclub Interlaken – will once again organise the World Cup Superfinal in collaboration with the Swiss League. 🏆

The Superfinal lasts 10 days and brings the 2026 PWC season to a close. Qualification is based on the five World Cups held during the season. From a sporting perspective, the Superfinal is considered more prestigious than a World Championship. Competitors will be battling it out for the title of “PWCA World Champion”! 🔥

📅 5–15 May 2027

After several long days on the road north from Rio de Janeiro , we reached Lençóis Maranhenses and found this. Dunes, river, and jungle, all meeting in one place. I was so focused on photographing each separately, and honestly, they all looked pretty damn good on their own. Yet this is the view I keep coming back to when I was flying. I’d been chasing a photo in each piece when it took all three to tell the whole story.

It’s heartbreaking to see how much the glaciers have changed in just one summer.

Many routes are now impassable or simply too dangerous, and even top landings on peaks that used to be considered safe have become questionable.

In just four months, the landscape has changed irreversibly. 😢
