POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Sometimes, the impact of a goal reaches far beyond the person who set it. What started as Omar’s commitment to run 100 miles became an opportunity for a community to come together for wild sheep conservation.
With volunteers showing up, nonprofit organizations working side by side, and 151 donations totaling more than $33,000, the effort became a reminder that conservation is something we all have a part in.
Running Water is a look at what can happen when people come together for the places and wildlife they care about. Watch now on the GOHUNT YouTube channel.

What began as Omar’s personal goal to run 100 miles grew into a community-wide effort for wild sheep conservation.

With an incredible volunteer turnout, multiple nonprofit organizations working together, and 151 generous donations, the effort raised more than $33,000 toward building a guzzler to provide a water source for wildlife.

Running Water captures what can happen when a community comes together for something bigger than itself. Out now on the GOHUNT YouTube channel.

“I will run 100 miles, and I will finish.”

What started as a personal goal became something bigger: a community coming together to make a difference for wild sheep.

Our latest film, Running Water, tells the story of that effort and the mission to raise funds to build a guzzler and provide a vital water source for wildlife.

Watch the premiere this Sunday at 6 AM PST.

Care Flight covers some of the toughest terrain in the country — mountains, desert, remote highways and communities across Northern Nevada and California, often hours from the nearest hospital. The not-for-profit crew is on call around the clock, bringing ICU-level care straight to patients, on scene and in the air.

They’re now upgrading to the Airbus H125. More power, more payload, better avionics — meaning crews can reach landing zones that used to be out of range.

Dear Running,

I didn’t know what I was signing up for.
I thought it was just miles. Just movement.
Just something to do with my body when my mind got too loud.

I had no idea you were about to change everything.

You gave me humility I didn’t ask for and needed desperately.
You gave me pride I had to earn, which made it mean something.
You gave me people, the kind that actually see you because they’ve been broken open by the same thing.

You handed me a life I never had the audacity to dream.

I came to you looking for a finish line.
You gave me a whole entire world.

Thank you, running.
Forever thank you.

RUN WHAT’S REAL 🖤

Days of glassing cows and calves. Stalks that fall apart in bow range. A windstorm that nearly took a tent. A grizzly sitting on the spot we wanted to be. You start to wonder if it’s going to come together at all. Then it does.

And then comes the last gauntlet. Six miles to the truck, a thousand-foot climb, gear and meat on your back. You don’t plan for that part. You just put one foot in front of the other and go.

Two tags filled is the bonus. But in all honesty, days spent in country like this with a solid crew are worth it whether you fill a tag or not.

A new GOHUNT Original ‘No Worse Than Wind’ is live now.

A quick fly by from a migrating caribou. My friends @omarlojr @xcopperkidx and I took to the tundra last year to see Alaska with our own eyes. We got more than we bargained for, and I can’t wait to return someday.

The film from this hunt is called “No Worse Than Wind”, and you can check it out on the @gohunt YouTube channel on Sunday morning.
